Cair Paravel-Latin School (commonly Cair Paravel or CPLS) is a coeducational, non-profit, interdenominational Christian private school in Topeka, Kansas, United States. CPLS offers a Classical Christian education for students in Kindergarten through twelfth grade. The school is a member of the Association of Classical Christian Schools. Cair Paravel has a longstanding history of academic excellence.

Founded in 1980, Cair Paravel-Latin School is located in the former Clay Elementary School building. Constructed in 1926 in the Tudor style, it was designed by architects Thomas Wilson Williamson and Ted Greist, who later designed the Perpendicular Gothic-styled Topeka High School. Cair Paravel did not move into this building until after its first few years located at various Christian churches located in Topeka. The earliest faculty consisted of students' parents who took an interest in education beyond common secular themes.

The name, Cair Paravel, honors C.S. Lewis, author of the Chronicles of Narnia. "Cair Paravel" is the castle that represents the courage, purity and faithfulness of the story's young heroes. In 1988, Cair Paravel merged with Topeka Latin School, another private Christian school in town, and integrated "Latin" into the school name. Although C.S. Lewis literature and apologetics were originally a significant part of the academics, the language Latin was taught to a small room of students by an elderly nun. Latin came secondary only to classic literature, especially creative inspirations such as "The Blue Fairy Book", Mark Twain and Christian scriptural studies.

In 2006, Cair Paravel-Latin School student, Andrew Toburen, was the Kansas Champion in the National Endowment for the Arts Poetry Out Loud: Recitation Contest.[1]

CPLS is a classical Christian college preparatory school, and as such, its curriculum reflects the high standards that it sets before its students. The Bible, the Classics and primary documents form the basis of all that it does and determines the rigor of its courses. Each and every student is challenged and inspired by the curriculum while being given the "tools" with which to further their learning and a passion for knowledge all brought together in their convergency with Christ.

One of the hallmarks of the curriculum of Cair Paravel-Latin School is a strong emphasis on reading the classics of literature. A classic is a work of literature, which has been read and enjoyed by at least three generations and has withstood the test of time.
