Meaghan Jette Martin was born February 171992 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She's most recognized for her role as Tess Tyler in the Disney Channel original movie, Camp Rock. She has also made guest appearances on The Suite Life of Zack and Cody and Just Jordan. She has a minor role in the upcoming movie Privileged with Thirteen`s Nikki Reed.
Acting career
Meaghan Jette Martin started acting at age twelve in Las Vegas at Vegas City Artz and then moved to Los Angeles theaters, and during that same year, she modeled in the M.A.G.I.C. Disney runway show. She has been featured in commercials for Cabbagepatch Kids and Barbie along with numerous other national and international commercials. She has participated in stage productions including 13 Workshop, which was performed at the Kirk Douglas Theater in Culver City, California, plus many numerous community theater productions in her home town of Las Vegas, Nevada. In 2006, she made her first television debut in Cookin' Rocks!. In 2007, she was featured in Close to Home, Just Jordan, and The Suite Life of Zack and Cody. This work with Disney eventually led to her starring role in Camp Rock in which she played the female antagonist, Tess Tyler with 3rd billing. This role included two solo songs, "2 Stars" and "Too Cool", and singing in "We Rock" and "Our Time is Here". "Camp Rock" had 24.5 million viewers during it's premiere weekend.[1] Later this year, she can be seen in the upcoming drama, Privileged.
Personal life
On top of being an avid singer and actress, she's also a trained tap, ballet, hip-hop and jazz dancer. She is home-schooled. She has two brothers and a sister.
