The Vox Jaguars |

The Vox Jaguars are an American indie rock band that formed in Santa Cruz ,California in 2006.[1] The group was formed by Jordan Topf (vocals, guitar), Noah Bond (lead guitar, backing vocals), Mason Rosenberg (bass guitar) and Trevor Hope (drums, percussion).[2], [3] They began by performing in local coffee houses and record stores. Jordan Topf acts as their main songwriter. Their influences include The Stooges, MC5, The Velvet Underground, and other protopunk artists. They have released their debut EP (Vox Jaguars – EP), on February 10, 2009, which was produced by Ariel Reichtshaid (Also produced for We Are Scientists, The Blood Arm, Valencia, Plain White T's). Two of the members are still in high school. [4] Their sound is unique due to the organ in their songs (Sam Copperman, Keyboards, which is not credited on their releases as an official band member). They are currently signed to Anodyne Records.[5] They eventually performed on stage as they gained a cult following. They became known for their energetic live performances. The Vox Jaguars have performed on stage with The Fiery Furnaces, Big Brother & The Holding Company, Grand Ole Party, and Scissors For Lefty. The song “Swagger”, from the first EP, has been featured on the television program Canterbury's Law.[6] The current release date is unknown, but they have said that they are looking forward to release their debut full-length album at the end of summer of 2009. The Vox Jaguars have been part of the wave of the garage rock revival. They have influenced many indie artists in the Santa Cruz area of California (No Age, Foreign Born). No Age has named them their "favorite new band".[7]
