Sipra or Sapra is a Jat tribe in the Punjab region of Pakistan and India.

History

The Sipra are a sub-division of the Gill Jats. The tribe has also given its name to the famous battlefield of Sobraon. They are entirely Muslim, having converted to Islam in the 16th century. Location

The tribe is chiefly found along the banks of Chenab and Jhelum River, in Gujrat, Sargodha and Layyah Districts, and are specially numerous in Jhang District.
