Heartworm Press is an independent publisher based in Philadelphia. It specializes in limited editions, mainly books by music-related artists.
Founded in 2003 by musician Wesley Eisold, Heartworm started out with zines and cassettes, before graduating to fine-art book editions. It's output includes posters and even an LP from Eisold's current group Cold Cave.
Artists/authors include Eric Paul, Chris Leo, Kid Congo Powers, Prurient, Joe Carducci, Howie Pyro, and Boyd Rice.
In a fresh departure, Heartworm#37 was a one-off live event comprising spoken-word and musical performances at Santos Party House in NYC on August 8, 2009.
