Hi Prodge, I completly disagree with your comment. The aim of Wikipedia is to be an encyclopedia, not a news outlet. We report events that are covered by [[WP:RS|reliable sources]], and techdirt is not one of them. There's no being "behind" or "ahead" the mainstream media, they are the secondary sources we need and this is not a race. Here, Techdirt is a primary source (they "created" the event and can't be expected to have a neutral point of view). This is especially not debatable when covering [[WP:BLP|biographies of living people]]. In regards to your comment about the media being "frightened to touch" the issues, this is especially why we do NOT use primary sources (or we'd have plenty of conspiracy theories around).
