==Qualifing Rounds==
===African Zone===
Africa's qualifiers for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Dubai 2009 took place at the New Beach in Durban, South Africa from 1-5 July. Nine teams participated. Nigeria and Côte d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast), finished at the top and will represent Africa at the World Cup.

===European Zone===
{{main|2009 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup qualification (UEFA)}}
Portugal, Switzerland, Russia and hosts Spain became the first four European sides to book their places at the 2009 World Cup after qualifying for the semi-finals in Castellon, Spain between 7 and 14 June. Italy joined them a 4-2 victory over France, who won the World Cup Rio in 2005.

===North, Central American and Caribbean zone===
{{main|2009 CONCACAF Beach Soccer Championship}}
Costa Rica and El Salvador qualified beating 4 other teams to the finals in Dubai.

===Oceanian Zone===
Tahiti hosted the Oceania qualifying event for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Dubai 2009 in July. The Solomon Islands came out on top, winning the trophy and reaching the world finals.

===South America===
{{main|2009 CONMEBOL Beach Soccer Championship}}
Brazil won the qualifiers for a second year in a row. Runners-up Uruguay also qualified along with Argentina in third place, after beating hopeful Ecuador. This is the fifth year in succession that these three teams have made the finals.

===Asian Zone===
{{main|2009 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup qualification (AFC)}}
Asian Zone qualifiers were held in Dubai from 7th to 11th November 2009. The teams were divided into two groups of four with the premilinary round being held from the 7th to 9th, the semifinal on the 10th and the final on the 11th. With only 7 teams attending the qualifiers, the UAE have stepped in as the eighth side to fill the group of 3. Hence the UAE points were not counted to decidide the final two team.

===Host===
[[United Arab Emirates]] qualify automatically as the hosts.

The 2009 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup will be the fifth edition of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup, governed by FIFA.[2] Previous editions before 2005 were not governed by FIFA[3] and were held under the title Beach Soccer World Championships. Overall this will be the 15th edition of the Beach Soccer World Cup since its establishment in 1995.[4] It will take place in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, the second tournament to take place outside Brazil, from 16 November until 22 November 2009.[1]

Qualifing Rounds

African Zone

Africa's qualifiers for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Dubai 2009 took place at the New Beach in Durban, South Africa from 1-5 July. Nine teams participated. Nigeria and Côte d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast), finished at the top and will represent Africa at the World Cup.

European Zone

Portugal, Switzerland, Russia and hosts Spain became the first four European sides to book their places at the 2009 World Cup after qualifying for the semi-finals in Castellon, Spain between 7 and 14 June. Italy joined them a 4-2 victory over France, who won the World Cup Rio in 2005.

North, Central American and Caribbean zone

Costa Rica and El Salvador qualified beating 4 other teams to the finals in Dubai.

Oceanian Zone

Tahiti hosted the Oceania qualifying event for the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Dubai 2009 in July. The Solomon Islands came out on top, winning the trophy and reaching the world finals.

South America

Brazil won the qualifiers for a second year in a row. Runners-up Uruguay also qualified along with Argentina in third place, after beating hopeful Ecuador. This is the fifth year in succession that these three teams have made the finals.

Asian Zone

Asian Zone qualifiers were held in Dubai from 7th to 11th November 2009. The teams were divided into two groups of four with the premilinary round being held from the 7th to 9th, the semifinal on the 10th and the final on the 11th. With only 7 teams attending the qualifiers, the UAE have stepped in as the eighth side to fill the group of 3. Hence the UAE points were not counted to decidide the final two team.

Host

United Arab Emirates qualify automatically as the hosts.
