Richard Alexander Leman (born July 13, 1959 in East Grinstead, West Sussex) is a former field hockey player, who was a member of the gold medal winning British squad at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul. Four years earlier, at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, he secured the bronze medal with his team.

Between 1973 and 1977, he was educated at Gresham's School, Holt, where he captained the school's First XI hockey team. Later on, Leman returned to Sussex and joined the local club in his home town of East Grinstead where he developed into an outstanding forward. In the 1990 World Cup in Lahore he became England’s most capped player when he played in his 106th match, thereby surpassing Norman Hughes’ record of 105 caps.

Leman also represented Great Britain 70 times and won 40 further caps for England in indoor internationals. After the 1990 World Cup he retired having amassed a record total of 228 selections for international matches. Apart from winning bronze and told medals at the 1984 and 1988 Olympics, Leman also won silver medals at the 1986 World Cup and the 1987 European Cup.

Leman was voted Player of the Year in 1984. He is a member of the British Olympic Association Executive Board and Chairman of East Grinstead Sports Club Charity. Leman joined the Board of the England Hockey in 2004 having served as a vice-president for the previous year. He became President of Great Britain Hockey in 2007.
