She played the role of Stevie Hall Ryan in the Australian series McLeod's Daughters from 2003 until the final season in 2009 . From 1993 to 1995 she toured with the musical Cats (in the role of the cat "Cassandra") through Australia and Asia.

For McLeod's Daughters Simmone was nominated the Most Popular New Female Talent for the Logie Award in 2004, Nominated Most Popular Personality On Australian Television and Most Popular Actress for the Silver and Gold Logie Award in 2007, nominated for the Silver Logie Award for Most Popular Actress in 2008, and nominated for the Silver Logie for Most Popular Personality and also nominated for the Gold Logie in 2009.[1]
