Dougie Lee Poynter[1] (born 30 November 1987) is an English musician and the bass guitarist and vocalist for the British pop rock band McFly.
McFly
Poynter is bassist of pop band McFly, also providing backing, and on occasion, lead vocals. He has co-writer credits on many of McFly's tracks. Poynter is the youngest member of the band.
Personal
Poynter was born in Orsett, Essex, England.[2] When Poynter was 15 he auditioned to join McFly, and consequently made it as bass player for the band.
Poynter dated and lived with Frankie Sandford from The Saturdays,[3][4][5][6][7][8] until the pair briefly split up in March 2010.[9] They reunited again in April 2010.[10]. Now as of November 2010 the couple had split up and Frankie has moves out [1]
