Hezbollah "Strange Phrasing"

I saw your edit of the introduction time-stamped 14:43, 5 August 2006 and thought you might appreciate knowing the history of the strange phrasing. It's a very odd thing, but most the POV pushers concentrate on the introduction. There's certainly some POV activity in the body of the article, but the introduction is by far the most active battleground. Some time ago - a few days? a week? - somebody posted a long rant about the barracks bombing, complaining about the later American retreat from Beirut and claiming that all Americans have now forgotten about it. This was very quickly changed to "do indeed remember" and the battle went back and forth for a day or two until the combatants got tired; the strange phrasing was never intended to be a stand-alone assertion, but a rebuttal of an assertion that was deleted.

Thanks for helping with it! JiHymas@himivest.com 17:09, 5 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your edits! However, per WP:LEADCITE citations for most info do not need to be provided in the lead. Exceptions are for things like quotes and large claims. Happy editing! Adabow (talk · contribs) 20:00, 17 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for letting me know--I had a DYK claim rejected for that earlier this year and must have walked away with misunderstanding the rules. Nice article btw. Khazar (talk) 20:03, 17 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello!

Hi Khazar and nice to see your edits on Heshmat Tabarzadi on my watchlist! I see from your userpage that you're interested in writing wiki articles on human rights prize winners & prisoners of conscience--I'm very happy to see that, because that was the corner of Wikipedia that I first got involved with, and found it much quieter than I would have hoped. I'm also happy to see that you work to keep such articles NPOV, because that can indeed be tricky sometimes (and not something that I did especially well at first, I think). I'm sure you have plenty of articles in mind to write already, but I wanted to point you towards the red links on the CPJ_International_Press_Freedom_Awards page (which "honour journalists around the world who show courage in defending press freedom in the face of attacks, threats or imprisonment"). I'm also going to nominate your new article on Filep Karma to be featured as a Did You Know on the main page (WP:DYK). You can nominate articles that you've written or 5x expanded to be featured on the main page, and I think it would be especially good for more articles on human rights award winners and prisoners of conscience to be featured in this way. Best wishes, CordeliaNaismith (talk) 15:52, 18 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! I'm in fact on CPJ's site right now working on an article on Jean-Claude Kavumbagu which I should have up in about half an hour; I'll have to see if I can take care of some others on that list, too. Anyway, I appreciate your noticing--as you say, aside from arguments about Bradley Manning, human rights articles seem to be close to a ghost town so far... I've nominated four of your recent articles for DYK; you can check out / edit the proposed hooks at WP:TDYK. I've really enjoyed reading your carefully written & researched articles about these inspiring people. Best wishes, CordeliaNaismith (talk) 17:10, 18 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Much more is needed

Due to Wikipedia's criteria for BLP's is important that you add a lot more references. It is a good article just do a little more to make it stand tall. Keep going, it will soon be great.--CrossTempleJay (talk) 17:31, 18 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I am commenting on your articles because I believe they have potential. --CrossTempleJay (talk) 21:44, 18 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

DYK nomination of Filep Karma

Hello! Your article Filep Karma has been reviewed at the Did You Know nominations page. There still is one issue that may need to be clarified. Please review the comment(s) underneath your nomination's entry and respond there as soon as possible. Thank you for contributing to Did You Know! Pgallert (talk) 08:17, 19 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks--I fixed the article and responded there. Khazar (talk) 16:07, 19 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
