The 2012 McCoy's Crisps Premier League Darts is a darts tournament organised by the Professional Darts Corporation; the eighth edition of the tournament.

The tournament began at the M.E.N. Arena in Manchester on February 9, and will finish at the The O2 Arena in London on May 17.

The format will be a double round robin tournament with the top 4 finishers moving on to the play-offs. Each league match will be played over 14 legs. If a player wins his eighth leg before the 14th leg, no further legs will be played after this point. Two points will be awarded for a win and one point awarded for a draw.

Qualification

The PDC's top four players following the Ladbrokes.com World Darts Championship on January 3 qualifed by right to compete in the Premier League Darts 2012, and were joined by four wild card selections. Two being chosen by the PDC and two being chosen by broadcasters Sky Sports. The line-up was confirmed on January 3 2012. Andy Hamilton and Kevin Painter will make their debuts as wildcard entries.[1]
