Rubus coreanus (syn. Rubus tokkura; also called Korean black raspberry) is a species of raspberry native to Korea, Japan, and China.[1] It produces edible berries that are fermented into bokbunja ju, a Korean fruit wine (although the majority of fruit commercially grown for producing this drink are actually Rubus occidentalis, native to North America[2]. The berry is believed to have aphrodisiac qualities.[3]

It is called bokbunja (hangul: 복분자; hanja: 覆盆子) in Korean and cha tian pao (插田泡) in Chinese.
