The following is a list of notable baritone vocalists in non-classical music and includes those in popular music, jazz, and musical theatre.

The baritone voice is the most common of the male singing voices and tends to predominate in non-classical music.[1] Music for this voice is typically written in the range from the second F below middle C to the F above middle C (F2-F4) although it can be extended at either end. However, the baritone voice is determined not only by its vocal range, but also by its timbre, which tends to be darker than that of the typical tenor voice.[2]

Successful non-classical baritones display a wide range of vocal qualities and effects that lend a unique character to their voices, many of which are considered undesirable in the operatic or classical baritone singer, such as "breathy" (Jim Reeves),[3] "crooning" (Ville Valo),[4] "gritty" (Al Green),[5] "growling" (Neil Diamond),[6] and even "ragged" (Bruce Springsteen).[7]
