Khoobsurat (English: Beautiful) also known as Disney's Khoobsurat[5] it is out all across India and Pakistan Hindi romantic comedy film.[6] The film is directed by Shashanka Ghosh and produced by Rhea Kapoor, Anil Kapoor and Siddharth Roy Kapur.[1] It stars Sonam Kapoor, Fawad Afzal Khan, Kirron Kher, Ratna Pathak and Aamir Raza Hussain in lead roles. The film is loosely based on the 1980 film of the same name.[7][8]

The music of Khoobsurat was composed by Sneha Khanwalkar, featuring an additional number composed by Badshah. The lyrics were penned by a range of artists including, Ikram Rajasthani, Badshah, Sunil Choudhary, Amitabh Verma and Sneha Khanwalkar. The first song "Engine Ki Seeti" released on september 7, 2014. The song features a Rajasthani folk song "Anjun Ki Seeti", which the writer, Ikram Rajasthani, has specifically re-written for the film.[9] A promotional song titled "Abhi Toh Party Shuru Hui Hai", composed by Punjabi rapper Badshah, released on August 22, 2014. The film's soundtrack officially released on September 1, 2014.
The producers felt that the film lacked a soulful love song and upon the request Of Rhea Kapoor, music composer Amaal Malik came up with the song Naina, which is sung by his brother Armaan Malik & Sona Mohapatra.

Domestic
Khoobsurat opened to a slow start at the box office, with occupancies ranging from 15 to 20-percent at multiplexes and single screens across India.[11] The film earned about ₹27.4 million (US$330,000) on it's opening day. Due to the positive word of mouth, Khoobsurat showed solid growth at the box office, earning ₹37.4 million (US$450,000) on the second day of release. It showed further growth on the third day, collecting ₹50.5 million (US$610,000). The film netted a total of ₹115.3 million (US$1.4 million) during the first three days of release,[12] with Box Office India describing the weekend trend as "good".[13]
Overseas
As of 21 September, 2014, Khoobsurat earned ₹30 million (US$360,000)[14] in Pakistan, ₹20.6 million (US$250,000) in the USA and Canada, ₹16.9 million (US$200,000) in the UK, ₹19.3 million (US$230,000) in the United Arab Emirates, ₹2.5 million (US$30,000) in Australia, ₹0.40 million (US$4,800) in New Zealand and ₹0.30 million (US$3,600) in Malaysia. In the first two days of release, it has netted a total of ₹90.0 million (US$1.1 million) in the overseas markets.[15]
