The third season of the Showcase television series Continuum premiered on March 16, 2014 and concluded on June 22, 2014. The series is created by Simon Barry. The series centers on Kiera Cameron (Rachel Nichols) as she time travels from 2077 to 2012 with a group of terrorists, and attempts to find a way home.

Simon Barry said in an interview that information about Season 4 will be announced by Shaw in July.[1] On July 16, 2014, Barry stated that Shaw would release renewal or cancellation news in early August.[1][2][3][4] However no announcement had been made by early October although Denis McGarth stated on August 23, 2014 that news would arrive soon.[1][5][6] On September 26, Syfy confirmed that they were unlikely to save Continuum should Showcase chose to cancel it.[1][7][8]

  • "Old Alec" or "Elderly Alec" refers to Alec's future self who sent Kiera back in time from 2077.
  • "Green Alec" = Alec that didn't travel through time and was in control of Piron until the season finale.
  • "Red Alec" = Alec who travelled back a week, creating the alternate timeline, was temporarily imprisoned in the Freelancer Base.
  • "Green Kiera" = Kiera who came into being with the new timeline who was shot and killed in Alec's lab.
  • "Red Kiera" = Kiera who travelled back a week and is currently alive.

Production

On June 5, 2013, Continuum was renewed for a third season. Filming began on November 20, 2013.[9] Season 3 premiered on March 16, 2014 on Showcase in Canada and on April 4, 2014 on the Syfy channel in the United States.[10]
