The third season of the Showcase television series Continuum premiered on March 16, 2014 and concluded on June 22, 2014. The series is created by Simon Barry. The series centers on Kiera Cameron (Rachel Nichols) as she time travels from 2077 to 2012 with a group of terrorists, and attempts to find a way home.
Simon Barry said in an interview that information about Season 4 will be announced by Shaw in July.[3] On July 16, 2014, Barry stated that Shaw would release renewal or cancellation news in early August.[3][4][5][6] However no announcement had been made by early October although Denis McGarth stated on August 23, 2014 that news would arrive soon.[3][7][8] On September 26, Syfy confirmed that they were unlikely to save Continuum should Showcase choose to cancel it.[3][9][10] On November 13, 2014, Barry hinted that a decision will finally be made by the end of November, tweeting "November is the new August...".[3][11][12]
