Yi Zhou Studio is the atelier of the iconic Chinese artist Yi Zhou. It was founded by the artist in 2011 after she moved her studio from Paris back to Shanghai, in order to continue her multimedia art work featuring 3D animations, drawings and sculptures. With an increasing demand for art-meets-fashion endeavors, and as a natural extension of her multimedia vision, Yi Zhou has shaped and evolved her studio to include photo-shooting facilities and video making activities, 3D animation and post production as well as consulting for branding and PR. The studio is well known for producing collaborations in the luxury fashion industry, featuring creations from European brands such as Persol, Hogan, Gripoix, and Yoox.com. Other recent works performed by Yi Zhou in her studio include clothing line collaborations with the French fashion house Each x Other and design work for Iceberg. Most of the studio’s work is presented at festivals like Cannes Film Festival, Sundance Film Festival, the Shanghai Biennale, the Venice Biennale and most International Art Fairs. To support Yi Zhou's ongoing work with Chanel, the studio has produced videos such as Chanel Number 5 seen by Yi Zhou. More recently, Yi Zhou Studio has started a lab called Yi Zhou Studio Lab at BIFT (Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology), with a research department dedicated to the past, present and future of Chinese style.
