Riseup is a secure email, VPN and online services organisation launched by activists in Seattle in 1999.
It's mission is to fight social control through mass surveillance
As of 2015, they feature 6 million subscribers spread across 14,000 lists. Their projects have included the StopWatching.Us petition against global surveillance disclosures revealed by Edward Snowden.[1]
