On 7 June 2015, Just after ending the season on a high, Bagan's and I-League's best defender of the 2014–15 season, Bello Razaq was brought up by East Bengal F.C., the club's bitter rivals. This step taken by him was heavily condemned by the Bagan fans after the defender decided to leave Bagan just after winning the I-League with them.

Just after a few days Bagan forward Balwant Singh was also reported to be linked with East Bengal F.C.. But later he signed in favour of Bagan withdrawing his link with their rivals.

On 17 June, the club confirmed the signing of one of India's high profile players Lenny Rodrigues from Dempo S.C.
