Untitled

Strange Cousins at the Prince is a live album from Clutch that was recorded at the Prince of Wales Hotel Bandroom in St Kilda, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia on the 25th of February, 2010. This concert was part of the side shows that the band did on the Soundwave festival tour of 2010, which no longer happens in Australia as of 2015,[1][2] making it a rare live recording now.

It is the third recording the band have done that the fans can buy that night after the concert, a format that they did with Live in Flint and Heard It All Before, the latter another Australian live recording from different Melbourne music venue, whilst the former a two night stint in Michigan, USA.

All three are available for purchase at live shows only, unless via their website, but are not sold anywhere by retailers.

Recording and release

It was recorded and printed that same night by the long time Melbourne based recording company Salt Studios. It had a very limited number of 2,000 copies for the fans there that night to buy (of which the venue doesn't hold). The remainders were then mad available via the http://liveband.com.au website as a CD purchase or MP3 download purchase, who are an Australian organisation specializing in such rare editions of live performances of artists playing in Australia, though this is a rarity in the format of being able to purchase the recording that night. The last three songs, which are the encores for the show, were not available that night though, as they could only be acquired through the website as a download later on (mainly due to time restraints), although those who purchased the CD that night got it for free from the official website. The entire show was put together in its entirety and is now a limited amount of 1,000 MP3 downloadable versions and 2,000 CD copies.[3][4][5][6][7][8][9]
