Dario Veneziali (born September 30, 1999), known professionally as Nathan Holton, is an Italian actor who works and lives in the U.S., best known for his roles as Brayton Stark on Game of Thrones (2011-present) and as Damian Kuttler on Fear the Walking Dead (2015) and The Walking Dead (2010-present).

Early life

Holton was born in Voltri (Genoa), Italy. He is the son of Cristina Esposito and Federico Veneziali and has an older sister, Sabrina, born (1992-07-12) July 12, 1992 (age 32).

Career

Holton never attended and is currently not attending any acting school. He was a normal italian student aspiring to be an English teacher and never thought about acting until, in the end of 2013, he randomly encountered Game of Thrones's co-creator and showrunner David Benioff. While chatting, Benioff offered him a paid trip to the US in order to meet the cast. Holton tried to performe an improvised scene with Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Lena Headey just for fun, but Nikolaj, Lena and the showrunners liked his performance so much to later offer him an audition for a role that would have been specifically created for him and the TV show. A slighty different version of his character will be feautured in The Winds of Winter, the sixth book of A Song of Ice and Fire, the series of novels that inspired Game of Thrones.

Game of Thrones

Holton got his first ever acting role in the end of 2013. He joined the cast as Brayton Stark on Game of Thrones, one of the most popular tv shows of all time, at the age of 14 during the show's forth season. From Season 6 onwards he got promoted to a main role and he is currently on the show as one of the people's favourite characters. He is one of the few people to already known the finale of the show.

In 2016, Holton won the Saturn Award for Best Actor on Television for his role in Game of Thrones outclassing his colleague and nominee for the same award, Kit Harington.

The Walking Dead

Nine months after the shooting of the forth season of Game of Thrones (in which he appeared in the first three episodes) he received a call from The Walking Dead's executive producer Greg Nicotero, who asked him for an audition as lead character of the first and only season of a spin-off series, Fear the Walking Dead. At the end of the spin-off, the two main characters, Damian Kuttler (portrayed by Holton) and his younger brother Cody (portrayed by Nolan Gross), got introduced in the main series starting from the first episode of the sixth season.

In 2015, Holton won the Saturn Award for Best Performance by a Younger Actor on Television for his lead role on the spin-off show.

In 2016 he won the Saturn Award for Best Performance by a Younger Actor on Television for his main role on the main series.
