Samuel Curtis is a Wikipedian from Hong Kong born in 18 February, 1983. He is currently studying towards a Master of Science degree in bioengineering in the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, after having a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry in the same university. His research interest is comparative genomics.

He is most well-known in the English fandom of Detective Conan (Case Closed) for his news reports and characterizations, but is also known as an ecletic learner and an avid reader in nonfictions.

The pseudonym of Samuel Curtis came from the westernization of the name of Jimmy Kudo, the main character of Detective Conan, via Standard Cantonese.

His paternal grandfather Ma Kwok Kuen is an accomplished calligrapher and works at Ta Kung Pao at the time, while his maternal grandfather Lui Kwok Man owned the Hong Kong distributor for Kester solder, among other chemicals.

He does not think that Winston Churchill is a pit bull. An doesn;t know how to speak Engrish.
