Just Because! is an upcoming Japanese original anime television series by Hajime Kamoshida, the author of Sakurasō no Pet na Kanojo, and Kiseki Himura, the author of Getsuyōbi no Tawawa. Pine Jam produced the animation.[1]

Plot

The story focuses on the feelings of a group of high school students at the near of graduation and the sudden appearance of transfer student who changed their life.[2]

Development

The project was first teased as an April's Fools joke on 2017 under title April 1st The Animation.[4] It was later confirmed as real in the June issue of Gakken's Megami Magazine.[5]

Kiseki Himura designs the characters, Atsushi Kobayashi is directing the animation with screenplay by Hajime Komashida. Hiroyuki Yoshii is adapting Kiseki's art into animation. Keisuke Fukunaga is producing the series.[3] Pine Jam is producing the animation.[6] It is scheduled to premiere in October 5, 2017.[7][8] Nagi Yanagi serves as music producer as well performing the opening theme, while Karin Isobe, Yuna Yoshino, and Lynn performed the ending theme.[9]

Other media

A series of stories will be serialized on Kadokawa's Da Vinci magazine starting September 2017 issue. The first chapter will tells the prologue anime's plot. Atsushi Kobayashi is illustrating the series.[10][11]
