Ranini Cundasawmy (born 19 May 1984) is a Mauritian Muay Thai, Savate fighter, and the winner of several national and world championships (Muay Thai).[2][3][4] [5]
Early life
Cundasawmy was born on 19 May 1984[6] at Victoria Hospital on Mauritius Island. From 1984 to 1994 she lived at Pop Henessy Beau Bassin, three brothers and two sisters, Rajen, Rajesh, Jean Francois, Rajini and Annais. Her father is Mario and her mother is Premila.[7]
She attended the Pre Primary and Primary School of Maingard in Beau Bassin, then the secondary school of Villes Soeurs in Beau Bassin. At the age of 16 she left villes soeurs secondary school to continue her studies at St Bartholomew's in Port-Louis.

Sports career
In 2005, she begin to participate in the Boxe Française Savate tournament.
In 2006 she won the Jeux de l'ouest female champion [12] title in boxe française savate.[5]
2007 - 2010 Cundasawmy's boxing club BMA Sports faced some difficulties, with no location for training, and the group was training on the street.
The club she in which trains found a location at Social Welfare Centre Bambous. In 2010 Ranini and Patrick Cundasawmy[1] began training in Muay Thai.
In 2011, she founded the BMA Female Team. She attend several Muay Thai Competitions and Boxe Française between 2010 and 2012.
In 2012, she participated in the first ever mixed Muay Thai fight between a male and a female in Mauritius, and won.[13]

In 2013, she was a gold medalist in the Mauritius Taekwondo Championship in her first participation, along with winning the title of La Croche Mauritius Champion in her first participation,[16] and she kept her Muay Thai Champion title.
She was the Mauritius National Muay Thai Female Champion in 2013.[17][18]
On 28 September 2013 she won the first Mauritian Muay Thai Female Championship Belt in an open female category.[19][20]
On 11 May 2014 Ranini won the Indian Ocean Croche Championship.[21]
In October 2014, Ranini won the bronze medal at the World Championship of Boxe Française Savate Assault in Rome under the coaching of her husband Cundasawmy Louis Patrick.[22][23][24]
Again in 2015 Ranini was the Mauritius national Muay Thai champion.[6]
