Park Hang-seo is a South Korean football manager and former player. He is currently the head coach of the Vietnam national football team.

Career

From 2011 to 2015, Park managed the military team Sangju Sangmu FC in Korea. Under his guidance, Sangju won the second division K League Challenge in 2013 and 2015.

On 29 September 2017, Park was appointed head coach of the Vietnam national football team.[1] Also in charge of the U-23 side, he far exceeded expectations and became a national hero in Vietnam after the Vietnam national under-23 football team made it to the finals of the 2018 AFC U-23 Championship for the first time in history.[2] In the 2018 Asian Games, Vietnam also managed to make it to the semi-finals for the first time in 56 years and Park was widely praised for his management.[3]

Personal life

Park Hang-seo is a deacon of Kwanglim Methodist Church.[4] He attends Grace River Church at Mỹ Đình when in Hanoi.[5]
