The following list details musicians who have been and still are members of the British band Bad Company since its formation in 1973. The band's current lineup includes original members Simon Kirke (drums), Mick Ralphs (guitar) and Paul Rodgers (lead vocals) joined by latter members Howard Leese (guitar, formerly of Heart) and Todd Ronning (bass guitar). The band has gone through many lineup changes throughout its career. The only member to appear in every lineup is drummer Simon Kirke. He is the only member of the band to have performed at every Bad Company concert and to appear on every album. Mick Ralphs is currently still a part of the band but is being temporarily replaced by former Black Crowes guitarist Rich Robinson for the bands 2016 United States tour. While still officially a member of the band in 1990-1991, Ralphs also sat out most of their Holy Water tour. This time he was temporarily replaced by Geoff Whitehorn.

Colwell remained part of the touring lineup in 1992 alongside new bassist Rick Wills, with both featured on the live release What You Hear Is What You Get. In the summer of 1994, Howe left Bad Company and was replaced by Robert Hart. The group released Company of Strangers the following year, on which Colwell and Wills were credited as full band members. Stories Told & Untold followed in 1996, featuring a mix of old and new material. In late 1998, Rodgers and Burrell returned for a reunion of the original lineup of Bad Company, recording four new songs for The 'Original' Bad Co. Anthology and touring throughout 1999. After the tour, which Kirke described as "not a great success", the group disbanded again.
In 2008 Mick Ralphs performed a series of shows as Mick Ralphs' Bad Company. That band featured Ralphs and former Bad Company members Robert Hart (vocals), Dave "Bucket" Colwell (guitar) and Jaz Lochrie (bass) joined by Gary "Harry" James (drums).

A third reformation of Bad Company took place in the spring of 2001, with Rodgers and Kirke joined by Colwell and Wills. Jaz Lochrie replaced Wills in 2002. In 2008, Ralph joined the pair for a one-off show at Hard Rock Live. Rhythm guitarist Howard Leese and bassist Lynn Sorensen, both members of Rodgers's solo band, completed the lineup. The same lineup returned for a North American tour the following year, followed by UK and US shows in 2010. Another member of the vocalist's touring band, Todd Ronning, replaced Sorensen in 2012. For a US tour in mid-2016, Rich Robinson of The Black Crowes substituted for Ralphs, who was "not feeling up for" the shows. He later returned, but was forced to leave later in the year after suffering a stroke.

Bad Company in 1976.

Bad Company are an English hard rock band from London. Formed in late 1973, the band were originally a supergroup founded by former Free vocalist Paul Rodgers and drummer Simon Kirke, alongside former Mott the Hoople guitarist Mick Ralphs and former King Crimson bassist Boz Burrell.[1] The band were active with their initial lineup until 1982, during which time they released six studio albums that brought them critical and commercial success.[2] After recording sessions for Rough Diamonds led to arguments and confrontations between band members, particularly Rodgers and Burrell, the vocalist left Bad Company and the group disbanded.[3]

In 1986, Ralphs and Kirke began working together on a new project with former Ted Nugent band vocalist Brian Howe.[4] The group was later branded Bad Company at the request of their label Atlantic Records, with Steve Price performing on the album Fame and Fortune before Burrell returned for the subsequent tour.[5] Gregg Dechert was also added to the touring lineup on keyboards and rhythm guitar.[6] After two tours of the US and one of Europe in early 1987, Burrell left to focus on a jazz group he had formed, with Price returning in his place.[7] After the release of Dangerous Age in 1988, Dechert was replaced on tour by Larry Oakes.[8] Paul Cullen joined on bass after the release of Holy Water in 1990,[9] while Dave "Bucket" Colwell joined on second guitar.[10] Geoff Whitehorn substituted for Ralphs during the tour.[11]

Colwell remained part of the touring lineup in 1992 alongside new bassist Rick Wills,[10] with both featured on the live release What You Hear Is What You Get.[12] In the summer of 1994, Howe left Bad Company and was replaced by Robert Hart.[13] The group released Company of Strangers the following year, on which Colwell and Wills were credited as full band members.[14] Stories Told & Untold followed in 1996, featuring a mix of old and new material.[15] In late 1998, Rodgers and Burrell returned for a reunion of the original lineup of Bad Company, recording four new songs for The 'Original' Bad Co. Anthology and touring throughout 1999.[1][16] After the tour, which Kirke described as "not a great success", the group disbanded again.[17]

A third reformation of Bad Company took place in the spring of 2001, with Rodgers and Kirke joined by Colwell and Wills.[18] Jaz Lochrie replaced Wills in 2002.[19] In 2008, Ralph joined the pair for a one-off show at Hard Rock Live.[20] Rhythm guitarist Howard Leese and bassist Lynn Sorensen, both members of Rodgers's solo band, completed the lineup.[21] The same lineup returned for a North American tour the following year,[22] followed by UK and US shows in 2010.[23] Another member of the vocalist's touring band, Todd Ronning, replaced Sorensen in 2012.[24] For a US tour in mid-2016, Rich Robinson of The Black Crowes substituted for Ralphs, who was "not feeling up for" the shows.[25] He later returned, but was forced to leave later in the year after suffering a stroke.[26]
