Hi Docu. I've noticed some of your posts on talk pages, and found that when you sign them, your signature doesn't include:
*a link to your user page or user talk page;
*the date/time stamp.
The latter is very important, as it enables the reader to tell when your comment was made. This is especially important on pages like the [[WP:AN|Adminstrators' noticeboard]] or the [[WP:ANI|incidents page]], when lots of posts are made in quick succession and it's impossible to make sense of what order comments were made in if the date/time stamps are not there. It is also useful to be able to get to the page of the person who made the post.

If you have modified the default signature in your preferences, then please either change it back, or change it so that the timestamp is included. If you don't know what I mean, then just remember to sign your posts using <nowiki>~~~~</nowiki>, or by clicking the signature button above the editing window.

If you have any other questions, please ask me on my talk page. Thanks, --[[User:RFBailey|RFBailey]] ([[User talk:RFBailey|talk]]) 21:03, 17 September 2008 (UTC)

Hi again Docu. I took a look at your comments at Wikipedia talk:Signatures and I'm afraid I wasn't able to see where you answered my recent question about why you don't link your userpage/talkpage and include time and date in your signature and so I'd ask again that you explain this. Thanks. Adambro (talk) 18:04, 17 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What do you think of the stated goals for the 2007 change?
BTW did you have any luck trying to reason him? Note that you are free to rescind your previous decision. -- User:Docu
You've still yet to answer my question about your signature. Regarding Andy's recent edits, I've yet to understand what the issue is and so if you could clarify this for me I would very much appreciate it. Adambro (talk) 19:52, 17 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I share your analysis here in regards to his edits. Can you try to convey this to him? -- User:Docu
So, if I understand correctly, you are suggesting that he is making edits which have implications which he isn't dealing with? Could you provide some diffs to help me understand. I also still await a response to my question regarding your signature. Adambro (talk) 20:39, 17 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your signature

Hi Docu. I've noticed some of your posts on talk pages, and found that when you sign them, your signature doesn't include:

  • a link to your user page or user talk page;
  • the date/time stamp.

The latter is very important, as it enables the reader to tell when your comment was made. This is especially important on pages like the Adminstrators' noticeboard or the incidents page, when lots of posts are made in quick succession and it's impossible to make sense of what order comments were made in if the date/time stamps are not there. It is also useful to be able to get to the page of the person who made the post.

If you have modified the default signature in your preferences, then please either change it back, or change it so that the timestamp is included. If you don't know what I mean, then just remember to sign your posts using ~~~~, or by clicking the signature button above the editing window.

If you have any other questions, please ask me on my talk page. Thanks, --RFBailey (talk) 21:03, 17 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
