Salt Life is a lifestyle brand started in Jacksonville, Florida which manufactures clothing and accessories related to ocean leisure activities, such and fishing, diving and surfing.
History
[edit]Salt Life was founded by four friends who came up with the concept while out on a fishing trip. The name is meant to encapsulate all the things people love about the seaside, from diving to fishing to boating and beyond. It has become an identifying banner for people to stand under and proclaim to others that they, too, are living "the salt life."[1]
The company's most popular products are their ubiquitous decals.[1][2] The stickers say simply "Salt Life", often accompanied by a picture of a fish, hibiscus, palm trees, or the pirate's Jolly Roger. The stickers are often seen on cars parked by the beach and boats.
