Revision as of 07:59, 20 September 2006

Oh, I see. You're using the page you had from Forest. I was like you can't get rid of all that stuff Tonetare 03:36, 10 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It's Tonetare now known under this name. I've made my self a new account just to be on the safe side around here if I ever need to help you TareTone 06:11, 10 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You're in luck. It look as if Mike is retired from his userpage. TareTone 06:13, 10 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

thank you, thank you. Where did we live off with our discussion? i'd really like to continue it if you want to TareTone 22:08, 10 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re: What is with it

You know, I lost count, somewhere in there. :p I think we've nailed somewhere around five or so. Luna Santin 01:03, 11 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, let me know, or post to AIV again. There's a few different options for blocking, but to tell you the truth, I'm a bit too recent of an admin to have fiddled with it a lot. All of her accounts should probably be autoblocked if she causes problems. I'll get around to tagging those pages; thanks for your help. Luna Santin 01:08, 11 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Help

Why am I blocked? Sugarpinet 01:11, 11 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Can someone hear me? I think I'm autoblocked.

lol, we can't hear you Forest. We can only see you. what's a matter? I will help you. Anyway, do you want to continue the chat or what? I had some ideas to help you finding a career and assisting your family. But why are you autoblocked? If you still are, write it on your page, and I will let an admin know. TareTone 03:21, 11 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

P.S. I went to a page a while back where people were getting real upset about autoblocks so just let me know if you're still autoblocked and don't change your IP or anything. I'll get an administrator. Relax ;) TareTone 03:24, 11 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Looking into it. Tyrenius 04:01, 11 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I can't find the IP you were blocked on. Check this out:[1]. Are you still here? Tyrenius 04:11, 11 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Clearing an autoblock

Due to the nature of the block applied, we need additional information before we can decide whether to unblock you. It is very likely that you are not personally blocked. If you are prevented from editing, it may be because you are autoblocked or blocked because of your IP address. Without further details, there is nothing further we can do to review or lift your block. Please follow these instructions:

  1. If you have a Wikipedia account, please ensure that you are logged in.
Your account name will be visible in the top right of this page if you are.
If it isn't, try bypassing your web browser's cache.
  2. Try to edit the Sandbox.
If you are able to edit the sandbox, you are not blocked from editing. Either the autoblock on your IP address has already expired, or you weren't blocked in the first place. Either way, you can resume editing.
  3. If you are still blocked, follow the directions below:
    1. Copy the {{unblock-auto|...}} code generated for you under the "Unblock request" section.
    2. Paste the code at the bottom of your user talk page, and click save.
If you cannot edit your own talk page, use the Unblock Ticket Request System to make your request.

It's says I have been auto-blocked because Anita9341 stole my IP Adress. I don't know where to find my IP Adress but I know what an IP adress is. Could somone tell me where to find it? Sugarpinet 13:50, 11 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

{unblock|Most recent comment from me explains all the details. I was autoblocked}

{helpme|See the above question about where to look for your IP}

Try http://www.whatismyip.com/. Cheers, Tangotango 13:55, 11 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, O.K. How excatly do you change your IP? {helpme} Sugarpinet 13:56, 11 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You can't really change your IP. Reconnecting your router/modem might work, but not in all cases. If that fails, and if if you can tell us your IP address, I'll see what I can do about your autoblock. Cheers, Tangotango 13:59, 11 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
It's 72.134.40.171. Sugarpinet 14:01, 11 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I can't find your IP or IP range in the block list, and the list of autoblocks is currently offline due to maintenance. Could you copy and paste the entire block message as you see it when you try to edit? - Tangotango 14:07, 11 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I've unblocked one autoblock I found. Let me know if it doesn't let you edit. Cheers, Tangotango 14:13, 11 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I'm editing again. Could you make sure that the IP, 72.134.40.171 is unblocked too? Sugarpinet 14:15, 11 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Don't worry, that's what I unblocked. - Tangotango 14:18, 11 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
And isn't Streamwater requesting to be unblocked too? Lots of requests today...Sugarpinet 14:20, 11 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Interwiki report

Hi,

User:ForestH2 and another user were supposed to write report from Simple English Wikipedia. He had been absent but then he reappeared so I presumed this report is ready. He left Wikipedia without really telling me. User:Carmelapple who was kind of responsible for interwiki reports also left, User talk:Treebark is still away (for good ?). Luckily we have the Hungarian Interwiki Report almost ready so I think it will be the replacement this week. Kpjas 15:31, 11 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

TareTone

Hey, I read over the discussion above and see you've got unblocked. Great! I'm sorry about that whole incident. Wow, this wikipedia can be pretty screwy. I hope that doesn't happen to me. Hey, I remember you told me you thought I had disrespected Mikedk9109 so I went and gave him an apology. By the way, I read over your userpage and had a question. It says you couldn't drive? Why can't you drive? TareTone 09:26, 12 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Oh ok! because I was pretty worried. I was like he is this age with children and can't even drive. I was feeling pretty bad for you there when I read that. Anyway, glad it was only an error. Hey, so are you into SpongeBob because of your kids or is it you? TareTone 23:54, 12 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Cool! I used to love SpongeBob! I mostly watch the Simpsons, Family Guy, South Park, And King of the Hill for my cartoons now though. And that one other cartoon I really like that got canceled. TareTone 00:35, 13 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Interwiki reports

Hi,

Thanks for your help and support. Please join in organizing upcoming interwiki reports. Help is always requested in reviewing grammar and spelling because the English of authors (and mine) is not perfect. I was once contacted by a user from Bengali Wikipedia offering an interwiki report. Personally I have mixed feelings about this -- Bengali is a rather small Wikipedia.

AnitaRules

Why did you remove Anita9341 rules? She is a sockpuppet of vandalism only account Anita934 and has a bad username? Sugarpinet 15:06, 12 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The initial report didn't make that clear at all. I've now indef blocked that username. -- Deville (Talk) 15:11, 12 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
OK! :D -- Deville (Talk) 22:12, 12 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

TareTone

I will love your children as my own when you come over here in the winter ;) We can be a small family. You and I, the fathers TareTone 06:01, 13 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Why are you telling me not to edit or write on Charlesknight's page? his behavior is inappropriate. And heck no, I'm not a father. You kidding me? I've already decided never to have any kids TareTone 16:21, 13 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, I saw Tyrenius said something first. I honestly couldn't care less about his bias toward that user and we'll freely express my criticisms of that user's behavior until it stops. I don't really have any desire to be on wikipedia and if I do but am blocked (as I told Tyrenius several times), I'll just disconnect the modem wires and come back as I have hundreds of times in the past TareTone 16:38, 13 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

cools! cools! cools! ;) I'll be looking out for you. Have a good night! :) TareTone 02:53, 14 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

oh whoops, my mistake. I thought you were calling it a day here on wikipedia. Yea, I don't know why I thought that. It is like only 9:58 p.m. here. I woke up pretty early so I am off. :D TareTone 02:58, 14 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, ok, I guess you are calling it a day. lol! misread you again. Anyway, 13:00 is mountain time I assume. lol! I'm on off and on throughout the day so it'll be easy to catch me. :) sleep tight! TareTone 03:02, 14 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, well I was supposed to call my grandmother and it's getting late so I better hurry it up. She always makes me feel guilty and talks if I don't. "One day I'll be dead and gone and all I wanted was to talk to get close to you before I went." : / gee whiz huh lol? She's a talker too. You'll probably be gone when I get back here. But don't forget to get on tomorrow for myspace. cya TareTone 03:10, 14 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

o......m......g! ever since Tyrenius unblocked me, I haven't even gone to my website. That was what I was trying to remind my self of all yesterday and the day before. I knew there was something bothering me. LoL, it isn't anywhere near ready. I totally stopped going there ever since he unblocked me. I was getting it started while I was blocked. Thanx for reminding me. After I'm done with my grandma, I am going to add a few odds and ends to it. By the way, I have no idea how myspace works. I just got on there and got an account. I can't answer that question. Sorry TareTone 03:14, 14 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry Forest. I am on the phone with my grandmother who even though I called her is making me feel guilty about not calling her earlier. Nothing makes her happy. Oh well lol! Yea, I will make a chatroom on my site for us. :) You will love it TareTone 03:35, 14 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Grady Sizemore

Why do you insist on putting irrelevant information in this article? (EX: This deal, struck by Mark Shapiro, which brought Lee -- currently in Cleveland's rotation --). Cliff Lee being in the rotation has absolutely nothing to do with Grady Sizemore. An explanation would be nice. Thanks. --Mikedk9109 00:24, 14 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi

Hi, re this test warning you gave me. Firstly, I do apologise for it, I thought it was a vandal trying to add Ral to the list and accidentally listing his full signature by mistake; I am currently quite busy and didn't check whether it was a real impostor account. However, please AGF in the future - as an ex-admin it quite honestly frustrates me when people fail to do so - I'm most certainly not someone anyone in the vandalwhacking community would even think about giving a test warning to, heh. – Chacor 14:35, 14 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

As with my old talk page, I routinely remove and/or archive posts which I feel have been adequately dealt with; this includes warnings (usually given by vandals or trolls - in this case obviously not!). – NSLE/Chacor 14:42, 14 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Looking through your user and talk pages, you're the user formerly known as ForestH2? – Chacor 14:43, 14 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Interwiki reports plans

Hi,

Have you already talked to someone about authoring Dutch and Portugese interwiki reports ? Kpjas 18:44, 14 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Sugarpine, I'm sorry to have to turn you down on writing for the signpost. I choose to involve myself in other parts of the wikis at the moment. Cheers! Siebrand 10:42, 16 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

RE: Restore

From what I can see two were deleted because they redirected to pages that don't exist. And those pages don't exist because the content was moved. The technology report thing was move to Wikipedia:Wikipedia Signpost/2006-09-05/Technology report, for example, and in the news to Wikipedia:Wikipedia Signpost/2006-09-05/In the news. The candiate sues thing was apparently deleted because it was only three lines long and "not worthy of an article". -- Steel 00:09, 15 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

A/NI

In regards to the Tonetare situation I am just writing a response for AN/I - it will be up in about ten minutes at most - read it then take whatever action you see fit. --Charlesknight 20:58, 16 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Until ToneTare refrains from vicious abuse, he hasn't got a chance round here. Tyrenius 21:41, 16 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I wouldn't advise ArbCom. Anyway, they won't touch it, till it's been through other dispute resolutions. He is his own problem, which is a shame for him and for you also. Don't get frustrated about this and get yourself into trouble. There's only one solution for ToneTare, which is that he behaves in a CIVIL manner. Tyrenius 21:50, 16 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
See AN/I. He was blocked for a week and this was extended to 2 weeks (for continuing abuse), after which his accounts were free to use. Tyrenius 21:55, 16 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
If I may interject -- Sugarpine, when, in a block log, you see an unblock followed immediately by a re-blocking, it's because a user can only have one active block on them at a time. In order for Tyrenius to impose the six-month block on Taretone, he had to remove the previous one-week block first. Powers T 02:53, 17 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Esperanza!

Welcome, Sugarpine, to Esperanza! As you might know, all the Esperanzians share one important goal: the success of this encyclopedia. Within that, we then attempt to strengthen the community bonds, and be the "approachable" side of the project. All of our ideals are held in the Charter, the governing document of the association.

Now that you are a member you should read the guide to what to do now or you may be interested in some of our programs. A quite important program is Stressbusters, which seeks to support editors who have encountered any stress from their Wikipedia events, and are seeking to leave the project. So far, Esperanza can be credited with the support and retention of several users. We will send you newsletters to keep you up to date. Also, we have a calendar of special events, member birthdays, and other holidays that you can add to and follow.

In addition to these projects, several more missions of Esperanza are in development, and are currently being created at Esperanza/Proposals.

If you have any other questions, concerns, comments, or general ideas, Esperanzian or otherwise, know that you can always contact Natalya by email or talk page. Consider introducing yourself at the Esperanza talk page! Alternatively, you could communicate with fellow users via our IRC channel, #wikipedia-esperanza (which is also good for a fun chat or two :). If you're new to IRC, you may find help at an IRC tutorial. I thank you for joining Esperanza, and look forward to working with you in making Wikipedia a better place to work!

Re: Thank You

No problem. There's just something about greeting new Esperanzians that I love ^_^. Oh, and about your question, I honestly don't know. I'm sorry. Anyway, if you need someone to anwser a question, I'd be glad to help (although I can't promise that I can always answer) Well, good luck on any future contributions and, again, Welcome to Esperanza! Sasuke-kun27 23:38, 16 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

F&A

No problem! I'd be willing to show you the ropes, and then we can switch off every other week. :) Almost finished updating article. If you have any questions, please contact me at my talk page. Ian Manka Talk to me! 01:48, 17 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I sorta kinda took it from him. It became a sort of thing where I just started to write it before he did every week, and that's kinda how I got the job. He may be in the mix, but he hasn't said anything to the contrary. If you have any questions, please contact me at my talk page. Ian Manka Talk to me! 01:54, 17 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
No, my userpage isn't vandalized often, but I might keep the comment on there -- I like to keep all comments... but probably not this time. If you have any questions, please contact me at my talk page. Ian Manka Talk to me! 02:06, 17 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

my entry at WP:SIGN/N/O

sorry for being verbose - wasn't sure of the standard --Trödel 02:14, 17 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

In the news

sorry I just couldn't keep my hands off it - I just reread it after I thought it was doen - and since it is a wiki - started edting :) - I also changed one of the articles to the original reuters news wire instead of the ad laden site I originally found it on. --Trödel 22:12, 18 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I bumped into you looking the sidebar story - do you think that including the original is useful? I think we should highlight somehow the differences - as they were not obvious to me. Maybe in the article text --Trödel 22:21, 18 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Not sure which images you are referring to - they look ok to me --Trödel 22:26, 18 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
oh - np - I also reworded because the browse vs navigation is also a difference - I had trouble finding the differences at first because I completely ignored the headings of the boxes --Trödel 22:29, 18 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I do appreciate your help in trying to clean it up, but it's still not much more than an advertisement to "vote" on a redesign. The actual sidebars have no place in the article, and the text of the article isn't written like a newspaper article. I'll just make a short write-up and add it to News and Notes. Ral315 (talk) 22:39, 18 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

ok - I'll stop formatting - and go home :) --Trödel 22:43, 18 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
YW on ITN - and you are correct - I'll be working on that this week - I'll probably do a little every night instead of trying to do it all last Sunday and Monday. Work (pesky thing) made it very difficult to complete on time. --Trödel 22:46, 18 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
