Ikumi Nakamura is a Japanese video game artist and director. She is best known for her work with Tango Gameworks, where she served as lead art designer for The Evil Within and The Evil Within 2 and, until her departure from Tango in 2019, creative director for Ghostwire: Tokyo.[1] Her presentation introducing that game was widely heralded as a highlight of the press conference of Bethesda Softworks, Tango Gameworks' parent company, during E3 2019.[2] Before joining Tango, she worked as an artist on the Capcom title Ōkami and as a senior artist on the PlatinumGames release Bayonetta.[3] In March 2021 she announced that she had started a new small independent game studio.[4]
