Statement by Buckingham Palace

Should the official statement made by Buckingham Palace (which can be found at https://royal.uk or the BBC news article cited on this page) be added?

It reads: "It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen has announced the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. His Royal Highness passed away peacefully this morning at Windsor Castle."

Are works by the UK government in the public domain or under a suitable license? I'll try to check. — Berrely • TalkContribs 11:48, 9 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure but I think that it is released under Open Government Licence v3.0, which is allowed on Wikipedia. — Berrely • TalkContribs 11:54, 9 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Berrely: Only after 50 years. So I'm afraid it isn't PD. The C of E God Save the Queen! (talk) 11:55, 9 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Sad, then it seems we can't include the statement. Let's see however if it is released under OGL3, as all the royal.uk pages are currently blanked. — Berrely • TalkContribs 11:57, 9 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
You can cite it just as you would cite any other statement. The fact that in this case the statement itself is ~30 words long is irrelevant. HTH. ——Serial 12:06, 9 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Funeral

The word “funeral” in the article’s title should be capitalized. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rheller2000 (talkcontribs) 12:17, 9 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

No, it shouldn't. Title use sentence case per WP:TITLEFORMATBerrely • TalkContribs 12:25, 9 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Potential Wrong Section For Website Changes

I don't believe the changes on the royal

family's website be in the reaction section, since they seem less like a reaction and more like part of his funeral. 185.116.114.9 (talk) 12:33, 9 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I've moved it to the "Operation Forth Bridge" section as it makes more sense there. — Berrely • TalkContribs 12:35, 9 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Statement by Dutch royal family

The Dutch royal family has issued a statement on Twitter in both Dutch and English. (https://twitter.com/koninklijkhuis/status/1380496497410719744)— Preceding unsigned comment added by AfwasSysteem (talkcontribs) 12:49, 8 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Canada missing

It is a member of the Commonwealth. There is already a lot of news about the passing in Canada. There is a half-masting notice of the Canadian flag at this page. Eyesnore 13:08, 9 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

What happened to Norway?

Their reaction was there one second ago. Caius G. (talk) 13:14, 9 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

It still is, only the dumbass flags have been removed. ——Serial 13:28, 9 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Romania

Her Majesty The Custodian of the Romanian Crown and the Prince Consort, together with the entire Royal Family, were deeply saddened by the passing of Her Royal Highness Prince Philip, Duce of Edinburgh". "Prince Philip and King Michael, born in the same year, were cousions and had a lifelong friendship. The Duce of Edinburgh baptised Her Majesty Margareta, Custodian of the Romanian Crown, and watched over her in school, high school and college. Prince Philip, together with Queen Elizabeth, was always present in the life of the Romanian Royal Family. After King Michael's death, the Duce of Edinburgh was a fatherlyhood figure for Her Majesty Margareta. All generations of the Romanian and British Royal Families were close, but, for today's generation, Queen Elisabeth II and Prince Philip stand as spiritual models and foundamental sources of inspiration".
