== Draft:Deelee_Dube ==

I noticed that you have deleted a lot of the external links in the draft article based on Deelee Dube. However, this doesn't appear to be the case for other articles based on other artists and musicians, where there is more than one external link in the article.

Please advise, many thanks.

My distructive changes

Since in the discussion on WP: ANI you criticized my destructive changes, I would like to ask you how can I avoid making destructive changes? Dr Salvus 13:33, 24 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

You have been given a lot of good feedback from editors throughout the thread. If you have specific questions, I'm happy to answer them but on the whole DrSalvus I'd say keep to areas you understand. I don't believe you're ready yet for more nuanced areas such as featured content but you'd be fine as a regular editor, although I'm not sure how familiar you are with notability criteria. StarM 15:29, 24 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Star Mississippi Regardless of the possible topic ban, I think I will not be interested in the GAs, FAs and FLs at least until December. I think I'll only be interested in the WikiProjects I participate in. Do you think this is a good idea? Dr Salvus 17:54, 24 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Are there any other actions of mine that worry you besides the GA, FA, FL and WP: GNG? Dr Salvus 22:11, 24 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Nothing that I have seen. I know you're trying to grow as an editor so just start small and learn as you get good at those parts Dr_Salvus StarM 22:15, 24 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Following of what happened, do you think I have the competence for the DYKs? Dr Salvus 16:28, 26 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I don't work much in that area, so don't have any specific recommendations. I would recommend you observe discussions before submitting your own. StarM 16:42, 26 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I have to note [1] - a WP:VPP thread started by Dr Salvus that seems ill-advised. User:力 (power~enwiki, π, ν) 03:02, 28 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I think I have superficially read the instructions. I thought I had the skills and I was wrong. I will stay away from DYK at least until December Dr Salvus 09:57, 28 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Dr_Salvus, 's point was not about DYK but rather a thread that I am going to close as it will not succeed and I don't want to see you get piled on. Please stop, or you will be back at ANI and/or blocked and it may well be me. StarM 13:55, 28 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I realized that I have no competence in this regard. I don't feel like getting stuck or going back to WP: ANI. So I'll stop.Have a good day Dr Salvus 14:04, 28 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I think you're editing in good faith, but you're younger than most editors and editing in your second language, which is commendable. Please just slow down and observe before jumping in to the topics you don't fully understand. As you learn more, you can tackle more complicated areas. It's not that you can't, it's that you can't yet. StarM 14:08, 28 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Edit War on Silas Texas

verything that I wrote was obviously backed up by the sources.

It says Bear Bayou as one of the alternative names on TexasAlmanac

The community’s name changing frequently is a reference to the names changing from Battle Ridge to Bear Bayou to Silas Baines to Silas. Can’t copy from the source

66% white 33% black, it says 90 white to 64 black, simple math into percentages, again can’t copy from source, you’re asking for too much

And Silas was expanding because it was! The settlement had a gin, sawmill, school, the source mentioned the houses getting spread out. A lot of backup for this one

The area began attracting settlers before the Civil War, The settlement began attracting settlers wanting to disassociate from the civil war, maybe you can change this one, but it was quite hard to reword it.

For 12 years only 5 families would inhabit the area, Bussey, Crump, Hammers, Prince, Sparks and Stockman, change that to 6, and the years were between 1880 and 1892

Silas’ economy was primarily sectored. Because it was! If farming and agriculture starts booming in an area and dominates its economy it is a primarily sectored area!

The other school is mentioned in the Shelby school site, which shows us the school dates back to 1915 and it says it was burned in 1948

Read sources properly TableSalt342 (talk) 08:27, 25 March 2021 (UTC) TableSalt342 (talk) 08:31, 25 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

54 not 64 black TableSalt342 (talk) 08:31, 25 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I'm very close to partial blocking you from that article. COnsensus is against you. Please do not remove the tags again. StarM 13:14, 25 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

But I proved them wrong? TableSalt342 (talk) 15:22, 25 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

You initially complained that Fram et. al were not tagging your articles but instead opting to draftify them. Now you're complaining about your articles indeed being tagged. What is your standard here? Regards, User:TheDragonFire300. (Contact me | Contributions). 11:23, 27 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
TheDragonFire300 I believe TableSalt is currently blocked so you'll need to ask on their Talk for them to be able to respond. I'm not entirely sure why they posted the above on (at least) three separate Talks. StarM 11:44, 27 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Should I give up?

I had in mind to make many changes on the my hometown page to try to name him in an FA in 1 or 2 years. After what happened, it would be better not to do it? Dr Salvus 16:29, 28 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Feel free to edit the articles if you think they need improvement, but Dr Salvus I recommend you operate as if FA/GA/DYK etc. don't exist. You don't need to worry about those areas. If the reason you're targeting those areas is because you want to be an admin, I think that's a poor idea at this stage of your editing career. StarM 16:33, 28 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Dr_Salvus please see my note above, it's definitely how I suggest you operate. While I got an alert, I don't use email for Wikipedia purposes so won't be able to read it nor to respond. StarM 13:14, 29 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • @Dr Salvus: I dont know anything what happened with Gela article, or you. But to put everything as brief as possible: keep on editing in the areas that are good at, and in the areas that you enjoy. Also, while editing the articles, like StarM said, dont worry about FA/GA/DYK. Simply keep on editing article(s) to improve them. This method automatically leads to GA. Also, ot would give you all-round experience as well. And if you want become an admin, you should be active in other areas as well, not just content creation. Also, like this great philosopher said in this very short, and fun video: never give up. I strongly recommend you watch the video. —usernamekiran (talk) 12:16, 3 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

My ping for you

Hi. Sorry if I pinged my talk page wrong. I was writing "Mississippi" but the automatic corrector of the Italian language of my mobile has corrected and wrote "Dimissioni", I noticed it shortly after and I corrected the ping. I have not done it on purpose. Dr Salvus 20:38, 30 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

What am I capable of doing on Wikipedia?

After what happened, I would like to ask you "What am I capable of doing on Wikipedia" based on my contributions? Now I'm afraid to edit wikipedia Dr Salvus 17:36, 1 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Dr_Salvus I encourage you to keep these conversations in one place so that you can refer back to them and really, truly read what is said. For example, JohnFromPinckney said: "I strongly, fervently, urgently, adamantly and emphatically (whichever terms translate to Italian most clearly) urge you to confine yourself to reading our articles (presumably about football, or Italy, or Italian football, or sport) and noticing how they are written, looking for and correcting spelling errors, adding or improving references to reliable sources where you can, and, as you go, pay attention to the feedback you get." You have been given the answer to all of your questions multiple times, please don't ask another user as it shows a disrespect for people's opinions and time. StarM 18:05, 1 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Done You can see my archive of advices and warns here Dr Salvus 19:21, 1 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I am often asking as I am distressed for other reasons and therefore I often get confused, including on Wikipedia Dr Salvus 19:35, 1 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I have decided to move away from the English Wikipedia. It is not an "April Fool", I will study better the negative and positive feedback I have received, the discussion WP: ANI and something else. Dr Salvus 23:14, 1 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Best of luck Dr Salvus. We'll be here when and if you return. I think age and experience will help you as I know you're editing in good faith. StarM 00:47, 2 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
When I return to Wikipedia maybe in 2 or 3 weeks, I ask you to be very patient especially at the beginning as I could still make mistakes. Dr Salvus 13:38, 2 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Of course. Enjoy the break. We all make mistakes. You know where to find me with any questions. StarM 14:44, 2 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
My friend @Vaselineeeeeeee: sent me some help. I'll be back as soon as I familiarize them. Dr Salvus 19:47, 2 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I have read the feedbacks and the WP:ANI. I understood that I do not currently have the competence for the GA, FA, FL, DYK, to obtain additional rights ad for counter vandalism. Instead I think I can edit in all the other topics (especially association football). Do you agree with my thinking? Dr Salvus 09:48, 3 April 2021 (UTC) I think the best way to learn the guidelines is by getting it wrong. I often review my mistakes and feedback. I mark my mistakes in the Things not to do. Happy Easter Dr Salvus 18:52, 4 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi and apologies for the delay, I was offline for easter. I'm glad Vaselineeeeeeee has given you some good feedback. I think the only place I'd advise different Dr_Salvus is that when you make mistakes, if you don't understand the feedback, ask for clarification, just don't repeat the same actions. Take your time and you'll grow as an editor

Happy Easter

Request

Hello. I would like a copy of the deleted article Samuel Iling Jr.. This page was deleted because it did not meet the WP: NFOOTY criterias. I would like to have a copy of the article as I can publish it in the mainspace immediately when this player meets the criterias Dr Salvus 20:46, 8 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

here you go Dr_Salvus: Draft:Samuel Iling Jr.. When he does meet, WP:N, remember to remove the colon before the category so it sorts correctly. I added it while it's in draftspace. StarM 20:54, 8 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Do you think I'm good at finding vandalism? Dr Salvus 22:23, 9 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

that's not an area I work in, so you'd best ask someone who does work in that area for their opinion Dr_Salvus StarM 00:15, 10 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

During the wikibreak I did earlier this month I read all the feedbacks I received in March. I have to admit I had made claims for rights and GA and FL just to brag about it. I changed my approach and I no longer think Wikipedia is a "race". Did my latest changes confirm what I said? Dr Salvus 14:54, 14 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Questions

I would like to ask you some questions about the changes I make from wikibreak to today

  1. Do you think I made destructive changes?
  2. Do you think I understood the feedback of other users perfectly?
  3. Do you think I understood my skills?

Dr Salvus 21:24, 16 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I don't think you made destructive changes, or more precisely that you meant to. I think you were editing in good faith and trying to improve our content but weren't sure how to. At first, I don't think you followed feedback from other editors, but it seems from looking at your talk page Dr Salvus that you seem to have improved and I see you're asking questions on the Help Desk. I don't think you were trying not to listen, but I'm not sure you always understood all the info provided. Some areas of the encyclopedia are more challenging then others, and there is a steep learning curve. I think you may have overestimated your skills at first but have since learned you need more practice and are slowing down. I still think you're a little too worried about getting tools like rollback, but that may be our age difference showing. Hope this helps. StarM 01:21, 17 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks so much. However, it is not true that I am obsessed with being a rollbacker because I have read and understood the other users' feedbacks Dr Salvus 06:45, 17 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I've read the discussion WP: ANI a million times and realized what I was wrong. I think I'll be back soon to apply for a GA or FL. I promise that this time I will be much more responsible and think at least a billion times before applying. But I ask you to be more tolerant because I am a human. I would also like to tell you that I have read your experience as a sysop and I have decided that it is a stupid wish that I can become sysop Dr Salvus 16:23, 20 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I'm glad you took the time to read Dr_Salvus. I don't think you're ready for GA/FL, but that's your choice to edit there. If you do and get feedback, I just ask you to truly listen to the feedback and ask questions if you don't understand it. That was more of what the issue was last time. StarM 16:44, 20 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Excuse Me

Where can I use sources on references and notes? — Preceding unsigned comment added by HoanganhLe1234567890 (talkcontribs)

Hi HoanganhLe1234567890. For sources on Ms. Haymes, you need to use independent, reliable sources that discuss her acting career in depth. News articles, magazines etc. Let me know if you need more info StarM 13:26, 20 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

User:84.68.93.179

This user has been adding "BenQ" casts to articles without any explanation or cites regarding what BenQ has to do (if anything) with those films. I see that you had warned this user previously. Can you please look in on their edits again? Thanks! -- Ssilvers (talk) 04:46, 21 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Ssilvers. I've given them a final warning. I think they moved on after the partial block from Laurie Haymes, but I'm not sure what the relationship is to the editor above. StarM 13:57, 21 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
