Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field, especially for big edits or when you are making subtle but important changes, like changing dates or numbers. I edit a page that has been deleted and i lose points for it because sum1 edited it before me!!! Sorry I haven't a clue what that means. You don't get points on wikipedia for anything, It's an encyclopedia not a game.
