''Escort service'' is also used to mean simply a service that escorts you from place to place safely. Some universities have escort services that drive people (usually young women) around in vans after dark. It's kind of funny to see "Campus Escort Service" in the university directory, though. Escort service is also used to mean simply a service that escorts you from place to place safely. Some universities have escort services that drive people (usually young women) around in vans after dark. It's kind of funny to see "Campus Escort Service" in the university directory, though.
