:P.S. "ignorant" means that the person has no idea how Greek names entered Russian culture and does not understand that a Greek name cannot possibly enter Russian culture from backwards laponic tribes. "lacks comprehension" - means that a person can read but cannot extract the correct meaning from what was read. Warring ignoramuses are of great nuisance for other wikipedians, because they instead of asking questions, jump into revert wars. Karelian variantss

They don't belong to this article, which is about Russian name "Trifon". This text must be moved to artcle Tryphon, about the original name, in a section ==Derived names==. Loew Galitz (talk) 16:46, 21 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Then read the direct quotations from the source:
  • The dictionary Sukunimet proposes that the name Ruippo comes from the Russian Orthodox Trufon – Trifon... Ruippo as a personal name

probably comes from Trufon and Trifon.(p. 120)

  • → h p: Triihpo – Трифон (Trifon) (p. 157)

So, this information is definitely part of this article. --Egeymi (talk) 17:41, 21 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Yes ruippo comes from Trifon. But Triihpo comes from Trifon as well, because the page you mention clearly says at the very top: f->hp . Loew Galitz (talk) 18:32, 21 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
