Chaitanya Singha Dev was the fifty-sixth king of the Mallabhum (in present-day West Bengal, India). He ruled from 1748 to 1801 CE.[1][2][3]
The acquisition of the administration (the Diwani) of Bishnupur by the East India Company in the 1780, the city was placed under the Collector stationed there.[4]
