Hi, my name is Tyler Oliver and I am a junior in the communications major. Over quarantine I have spent a lot of time playing video games with a group of people I mostly met through random encounters online. I am from Tacoma, WA so I am not too far from campus but it doesn't feel the same being away from school and my friends. It was extended from just articles (May 2021) to all pages dealing with the topic (September 2021) *precisely* because the Icewhiz sockpuppetry and disruption spread from just articles and article talk pages to many other types of Wikipedia pages.

Can you please refrain from restoring abusive and racist comments by accounts which have been blocked and which are very likely sock puppets of an indef banned user? Not a good look. Thanks. Volunteer Marek 15:50, 9 March 2023 (UTC)

My reading of WP:ARBECR is that the talk page exception is pretty broad allowing "constructive comments and edit requests related to articles in the topic area, provided they are not disruptive." Groceryheist (talk) 16:06, 9 March 2023 (UTC)

I don't think those edits were constructive comments or edit requests? :-) I think this will come down to whether Signpost talk is an "internal project discussion" or not (is Signpost an independent newspaper hosted on enwiki or a WikiProject). Levivich (talk) 16:25, 9 March 2023 (UTC)
