In 2012, DOMS entered into a strategic partnership with F.I.L.A. – Fabbrica Italiana Lapis ed Affini S.p.A (F.I.L.A.), Italy, a listed Italian multinational company engaged in the supply of various art materials and stationery products, with a global presence. This partnership has enabled DOMS to gain access to international markets for distribution of its products, and to augment its R&D and technological capabilities.[3]

In 2017, Famous Innovations was awarded to be responsible for developing and executing creative campaigns for DIL's stationery portfolio.[4]

In 2021, DOMS acquired Kokuyo Camlin Limited, a leading Indian manufacturer of pens, pencils, and other stationery products. This acquisition made DOMS the largest stationery manufacturer in India. In 2022, DOMS acquired ITC Stationery, a leading Indian manufacturer of school notebooks and other paper products. This acquisition strengthened DOMS's position in the school stationery market. In 2023, DOMS acquired Reynolds Pen Company, a leading Indian manufacturer of pens and other writing instruments. This acquisition expanded DOMS's product portfolio and gave it access to Reynolds' strong brand name. Doms also acquired 30% stake in toy company ClapJoy.[5][6][7]

In June 2023, DIL filed for an initial public offering (IPO) with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI). The company plans to raise 1,200 crore (US$140 million) through the IPO.[8][9][10][11]
