Request reason:

(I also made an unblock request on Bronoton, but an admin instructed me to make an appeal on this name if applicable). Wikipedia, I am asking you to give me a second chance please. This (Phrasia), was my original Wikipedia account I created when I was in High School in 2007. I'll be honest, although I feel I've made great edits, I didn't always behave well. I was ignorant, and young, and I wasn't the best Wikipedian at times, and I've had some disagreements and hiccups. I'm sorry. But as you can see from my talk page, I've also done a lot of good things with my editing, especially in music articles. I was banned yes, due to not behaving well. I made the bad and wrong decision of creating alternate accounts, and I did this, because I love this site, and I have an addiction to Wikipedia due to that love, and I felt I had a lot to offer; but I understand creating new accounts if you were suspended is not allowed, and I understand. But although yes I was using alt/sockpuppet accounts, I feel I was still being a good editor; and I hate to say this, but I feel I've changed so much, I went years without people even knowing or suspecting anything of my recent name (Bronoton), which was created several months after my last sockpuppet was blocked. I understand that's a trite argument/defense, but consider that. I'm asking for a second chance please. I am requesting to be given another chance/to be unlocked. I believe I have to go to through the standard offer (WP:SO) procedure (as circumstances to my ban, were due to sockpuppet evasion. I was initially banned several years ago, due to edit warring. Instead of properly appealing that ban, I created sockpuppets, and I take responsibility that was an incorrect thing to do against the rules. I feel that I am a good editor, despite sockpuppets I opened up, without going through the proper procedure, and I realize that was wrong. I have not created any additional sockpuppets, or have ban evaded. I promise to abide by all wiki guidelines, and I will be a great contributor. Before I copy this over to the admin noticeboard for community discussion, would you agree to a WP:1RR restriction, given your previous violations of edit warring? Also, have you contributed to any other project since the most recent sockpuppet account was blocked, as this could be useful to demonstrate your reformed approach? A simple "no" is fine for this question, but I likely would personally oppose your request unless you are willing to abide by 1RR. --Yamla (talk) 11:09, 8 January 2024 (UTC)

I would also like to add that in addition to the fact I enjoy the Wiki Encyclopedia/Wikipedia, I appreciate the Wikimedia projects greatly as well. (Wiktionary and Wikimedia Commons in particular I find very useful). However, to be honest, no I have not made contributions to Wikimedia projects, as I mostly edit pop culture/music/entertainment media related articles, and adding sources/metadata to incomplete media/music/leisure information etc. I take full responsibility for my haphazard past as a Wikipedian, and I'm sorry for that. I will admit that in the past due to my own ignorance and fault, I wasn't fully aware of wiki protocols when it comes to discrepancies between other Wikipedians/editors. I apologize for that. I also admit my mistake of not sorting out my suspension on this account, and secretly using sockpuppets to evade that. But I am asking for a second chance please. @Deepfriedokra I have gotten better at adding/citing sources, and references. I agree that I have a history of past issues with this.
