The band was formed in 2013 by Rahul Rai, Prawes Lama and few other former members. When Tribal Rain released their first album, the band consisted of late Rahul Rai on vocals/guitars, Kenneth Adhikari on keyboard, Prawes Lama on guitars and Sushant Ghatani on cajon.

In 2021, Tribal Rain officially released their second album ''Devi Deuta''. It consists of 7 tracks including an instrumental. Unfortunately, only one of the tracks has been voiced by Rahul Rai due to his untimely and tragic death. Other tracks were covered by Benesh Thapa.

Tribal Rain is a Nepali acoustic experimental band from Sikkim, India.[1][2] The band released their first album—Roka Yo Samay in 2017. Bhanai, Chinta and Narisawna are some of their popular songs.[3]
