Since you are stalking me, please explain to me why you deleted what I worked on for so long? I justified the reasons why I deleted the section on agreements in the Russian visa policy, since an official website already exists and it should not be copied again. It is very voluminous and it is impossible to fold the pages. I get the feeling that I haven’t done anything, you are interfering with editing out of spite. I always make a case for global edits. Just stop harassing me and put back what I edited. Thank you . [[User:Stas678|Stas678]] ([[User talk:Stas678|talk]]) 23:58, 22 March 2024 (UTC)

Revision as of 23:59, 22 March 2024

Dear Lades2222,
I opened a move discussion here, because I think that new names for those articles may be appropriate as they now include non-visa travel requirements like vaccination requirements, passport requirements and entry bans as well as biometrics.
I am coming to you, as a respected editor of visa requirements articles, and I would like to have your opionin about it. Do you think this move is appropriate? And, if yes, how should to articles be renamed?
You can answer on the move discussion page.
Thank you in advance,
Thearones (talk) 10:13, 2 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, of course it's good to discuss here.
Mm.. for now.. I won't be making any major changes to Germany and France.
I think I'll just fix small phrases and spacing for the time being.
And thank you for complimenting me. Lades2222 (talk) 11:31, 2 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
[Visa requirements map]
I looked at the wording in this section.
I know you put a lot of effort into these areas, but... the map guidance and links are lengthy.
"Map of jurisdictions by visa requirement for French citizens holding ordinary passports and traveling by air."
--> I think it's better to leave out "by air" here.
When including this phrase, we have to add "by land" or "by ship" etc.
If that happens, we might have to re-examine the whole "visa required" section. This is complicated.
It is better to think of visa requirements as a whole, leaving out "by air."
And eTA, esta, e-voa, ease... I don't think there is a need to list the many types one by one.
In fact... ease, esta, eTA, etc. are offshoots of ETA, and e-voa, etc. can actually be classified as e-visa.
Moreover, "tourist card required in advance" is... hmm...!
For everyone's readability, we need to organize only the essentials.
I hope you express it a little more simply. Lades2222 (talk) 14:32, 2 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Dear Lades2222,
I agree with you that the title and legend are too long and complicated. However I think that it is necessary to include somewhere that, for example, the cuban tourist card (which must be obtained prior to arrival) is shown as "visa on arrival" and that some ETAs are shown as "visa not required" and other as "eVisa", standards that the non-specialist reader may not be aware of. I will move all those special cases and exceptions to inline notes in order to lighten to legend while keeping the map accurate. Thearones (talk) 07:20, 4 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That's good idea. i agree. Lades2222 (talk) 08:03, 4 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Your ideas are so exquisite that they encompass all our intentions.
I salute you for this idea. Lades2222 (talk) 08:15, 4 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Dear Lades2222,
Thank you for your answer. It seems that the consensus currently is not to rename the articles and it most likely makes sense to keep them consistent with all other "Visa requirements" articles. Thearones (talk) 07:08, 4 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Update some maps with color in visa requirements article

@Lades2222 Hi, I am from Albania and I have seen than you edit some articles about visa requirements and visa policy. I have seen that you last edited Visa requirements for Albanian citizens and I want to ask you can you update Russia in light green and Sudan in light yellow in Visa requirements for Albanian citizens map as Russia requires an eVisa for Albanian citizens while Sudan requires a travel permit which is mentioned in yellow in the visa requirements sections. Today, Sudan was mentioned as "travel permit required" in yellow in Visa requirements countries for Albanian citizens, but I don't know why it was again changed as "visa required". Please make these updates on this map. Thanks Jonipiri (talk) 16:03, 13 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. I have read your request well. However I can't resolve it.
Russia has designated 55 countries eligible for e-visas, and 'unfortunately' Albania is not included in this list.
https://electronic-visa.kdmid.ru/country_en.html
http://static.government.ru/media/files/c0ZDX0WaURdyvOidgFYSU5oDg61UC7QB.pdf
And in Sudan there is no basis for exemption.
(although I don't trust this) According to information according to IATA:
The information is that a 'visa on arrival' is granted 'if father is from Sudan' or a 'visa (not visa on arrival)' is granted when an application for permission is made to the Sudanese government and it is granted.
Therefore, i express regret that we are unable to resolve your request at the time. Lades2222 (talk) 21:21, 13 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Lades2222 Hi again. I have read the articles for Russia which grants eVisa to the specific countries and I was informed at the moment it doesn't grants eVisa for Albanian citizens, however for Sudan, it grants a travel permit since it has listed some specific countries, based on the same religion and culture, to be able to travel to this country for a short period. In this case, Albania must obtain a travel permit to travel to Sudan. (yesterday this option was updated on Visa requirements for Albanian citizens as "travel permit required" but it was again changed to "visa required". You also told that you don't trust that Sudan has no basis for exemption. So please update Sudan in light yellow to this map. Thanks. Jonipiri (talk) 05:06, 14 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
In the case of Sudan, we need as much accurate information about it as possible.
That is, please send me a link to information that a Sudanese government agency has created such a list, etc. Thank you. Lades2222 (talk) 05:11, 14 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Lades2222 Hi, I didn't found a link to an accurate information from a government website or agency, however I found a link to a website who issues eVisa for Albanian citizens to travel to Sudan: https://mustafa98.co/en/albania-visa-from-sudan/
Note that in this link the content explained there isn't written very much correctly, but it lets know that an eVisa or a travel permit is required for Albanian citizens to travel to Sudan. So please update the country with color in the Visa requirements map and also change to eVisa to the Visa requirements countries. Thanks Jonipiri (talk) 07:14, 14 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
This is Albania's visa method for Sudanese people to go to Albania.
In other words, this is not a visa for Albanians to go to Sudan. Lades2222 (talk) 08:34, 14 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Lades2222 Hi, I found another information that Niger issues eVisa for Albanian citizens as per this article: https://apply.joinsherpa.com/products?destinations=NER&passport=ALB&language=en-US&affiliateId=sherpa so please update at least Niger in light green in Visa requirements map for Albanian citizens for now. Thanks Jonipiri (talk) 18:06, 14 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, This site is not official.
And that site says you need a "visa from the embassy" to go to Niger.
Sorry, but now i can't keep acceding to your demands.
I'll finish the our discussion here.
Thanks. Lades2222 (talk) 20:17, 14 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello.

Since you are stalking me, please explain to me why you deleted what I worked on for so long? I justified the reasons why I deleted the section on agreements in the Visa policy of Russia, since an official website already exists and it should not be copied again. It is very voluminous and it is impossible to fold the pages. I get the feeling that I haven’t done anything, you are interfering with editing out of spite. I always make a case for global edits. Just stop harassing me and put back what I edited. Thank you . Stas678 (talk) 23:58, 22 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
