The Biscats is a Japanese rockabilly band formed in 2019. The members are Misaki[1][2], Kenji and Suke. This band's target is "to create a new rockabilly music that fits the current era and make it boom again".[3]

The Biscats have pursued new sounds based on rockabilly culture. The characteristics of their music is somewhat ‘retro’ and ‘nostalgic’, yet somehow ‘new’. They have a wide range of fans, not only rockabilly fans from the 80s, but also those in their teens and twenties, as a influenser rooted in Japanese rockabilly culture[1].  The music video of 5 Seconds of SummerYoungblood’, in which Misaki is involved, presents the vibrant and beautiful Japanese rockabilly scene and has had over 316 million views[4] (as of May 2024).

Their rockabilly-arranged cover songs posted on "the Biscats Channel"[5] (YouTube) are also well-recieved, and are included on the cover album "J-BOP SUMMER" (2023).[6][7] The cover album "J-BOP SUMMER" had the Billboard Japan Download Albums ranking at 26th,[8] and the Oricon digital album sales ranking at 28th.[9]

From October 2023 to February 2024, a national concert tour "Notteke(ノッてけ)! J-Bop Summer" was held.[10] On the last day of the tour, it was announced that a solo live performance "The Biscats SPECIAL LIVE ‘Rockabilly Night’" is scheduled at the Shibuya Public Hall (LINE CUBE SHIBUYA) on August 10th, 2024.[11][12]
