History

The Lodhas(Lodhi) of Ekdala, Khaga, and Khakreru are a separate caste and are known by the distinctive name of Singraur.Those of Ekdala aver that they came from the neighbourhood of Banda in the time of the Tomars, and if this be true, it removes any possibility of the derivation from Singraur in Allahabad. Under their leader, Dariao Singh, they gave much trouble during the mutiny. Thakur Dariyav Singh Lodhi(Dariao Singh) was born in Khaga village of Fatehpur district in Singaur branch of Lodhi Rajputs around 1800 AD. His father's name was Thakur Mardan Singh Lodhi Singraur. He was the talukdar of Khaga. Thakur Dariyav Singh Lodhi was about 57 years old at the time of the revolution of 1857. LODHI IS CATEGORISED AS SUDRA CASTE IN THIS WIKI PAGE BUT THEY ARE KNOWS AS LODHI RAJPUT MENTION AS FRIST PARA OF ARTILCE AND RAJPUT MEAN SON OF KING SO REMOVE LODHI FROM SUDRA CATEGORY AND ADD IN Category:Kshatriya,Solar dynasty.

According to Hassan (via the Internet Archive) "The Lodhes regard themselves as Rajputs, but can give no account of their origin, nor are there any traditions current among them which will throw light upon the subject." So recording to you, other castes like Jat they are also so shudra, because they are not in the Rajput, priest nor business category?

lodhi's are not entitled of SC quota then how you are measuring them as a sudra/dalit? Despite this, EWS certificates helps so called upper castes to get jobs like with Cutoffs like SCs.

Kindly remove Dalit word from LODHI CASTE wiki. its spreading hates among fellow OBC castes.

We follow Hinduism like Brahmins.

And if agriculture makes us a sudra, then i can't say anything. Many of our olders wears janeu .

Remove your superior mind-set and act with the facts.

लोधा भारत में रहने वाली एक प्राचीन हिंदू जाति है। प्राचीन वर्ण व्यवस्था में इस जाति को क्षत्रीय वर्ग का माना गया है और इस जाति के लोगों को लोध के नाम से जाना जाता था।[1] कालान्तर में इस जाति को लोध से लोधा कहा जाने लगा|[2] [3] ब्रिटिशकाल में लोधा जाति के लोग संयुक्त प्रान्तों से मध्य प्रान्तों की ओर फैल गये और वहां जाकर लोधा लोगों ने अपना नाम बदल कर लोधी कर लिया लेकिन इनका वास्तविक व स्थाई नाम लोधा ही है। [4] [5] वर्तमान में इस जाति को लोध, लोधा व लोधी तीनों नामों से जाना जाता है तथा इन्हें असम, छत्तीसगढ़, दिल्ली, गुजरात, हरयाना, मध्यप्रदेश, राजस्थान, उत्तरप्रदेश, उत्तराखण्ड व तेलंगाना आदि राज्यों में अन्य पिछड़ा वर्ग की जातियों में शामिल किया गया है [6] जबकि पश्चिम बंगाल व उड़ीसा में ये अनुसूचित जनजाति की श्रेणी में रखे गये हैं। [7] [8]

Landowner and Criminal Tribe which lead them OBC

1.The Criminal Tribes Act 1871 was posed widely as a measure to reform criminals socially through work. This got them a large amount of public support. The major caste groups considered criminal by birth iincluded Lodhi.

Lodhi is a Kshatriya

Lodhi is a Hindu community in India. They are Kshatriya. We comes under general category in the most of the populous states like Punjab and Maharashtra. Origin and History- Rig Veda Mandala 3 Hymn 53, sloka-23. http://www.gatewayforindia.com/vedas/rigveda/rigveda03053.shtml THEN the word again shows its presence in Manusmriti, Chapter VII- 54 and in Parashuram sahitya.
