Henrik von Scheel is a danish strategist and futurist, who is credited to have ignited the digital and Fourth Industrial Revolution themes of today.[1][2] [3]. He has dedicated two decades to the research and study of strategy in the scientific disciplines of Patternicity, Statistical, and Probabilistic Analysis.
Professional Impact
Genesis of the Digital Theme
In 2009, Prof. Henrik von Scheel, along with Prof. August Wilhelm Scheer, played a pivotal role in igniting the global digital theme of today. As part of the Advisory Council at the Federal Minister of Economy and Technology[4], they significantly contributed to defining Germany's future digital strategy. This initiative led to the "Digital Agenda," which was adopted by the European Commissionin 2010 and evolved into the Europe 2020, contributing to 5% of GDP with an annual market value of €660 billion. This initiative has since grown into the European Digital Revolution and paved the way for the emergence of Industry 4.0.[5][6]
Fourth Industrial Revolution Architect
In 2011, von Scheel coined the term "Fourth Industrial Revolution." As a member of the Advisory Group for the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, alongside Prof. August Wilhelm Scheer and Prof.Henning Kagermann, Prof. Henrik von Scheel helped define Germany's high-tech strategy. The concept of "Industry 4.0" was officially announced in April 2013.[7]
