A tag has been placed on User:Museumdg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.noel.alsace/234011268-museum-dan-gerbo-contemporary-art/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Request reason:

We are employees of the museum the wikipedia page is about, we copied/pasted texts we provided to websites to talk about our own museum. The wikipedia page isn't written against financial compensation, it's not promotion but a way to make our museum more legitimate by having a wikipedia page Museumdg (talk) 10:58, 14 July 2024 (UTC)

You need to designate a single person to exclusively operate this account and give no one else access. Others at your organization will need their own accounts(though they should not create them until this block is removed). Wikipedia is not intended to confer legitimacy upon organizations, and Wikipedia is not a place for organizations to tell the world about themselves and what they do. Wikipedia articles summarize what independent reliable sources with significant coverage have chosen on their own to say about an organization, showing how it meets the special Wikipedia definition of a notable organization. Please read conflict of interest and paid editing(which includes employment or even volunteer work put on a resume). You won't be unblocked to, in the short term, edit about your museum. If that is your only goal here, this is the end of the road. "Making our museum more legitimate" is literally what promotion is. And, again, businesses and organizations, whether profit or non-profit, are not allowed to have English Wikipedia accounts. There is also no "we" in Wikipedia accounts as all accounts may only be connected with a single person and may not even give the appearance of being connected with a business or organization.
