Anton Silayev (Russian: Антон Силаев; born 11 April 2006) is a Russian professional ice hockey player for Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). He was drafted tenth overall by the New Jersey Devils in the 2024 NHL entry draft.
Playing career
Silayev is signed with Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) until the 2025–26 season.[1]
Referred to as a “unicorn” by Bob McKenzie, due to his size and skating ability, scouts projected Silayev to be an elite shutdown NHL defenseman.[2]
