Fouad Shuker (Arabic: فؤاد شكر, born 1962), also known as Al-Hajj Mohsen, is a senior member of Hezbollah. He serves as a senior military advisor to the Secretary-General of the organization, Hassan Nasrallah, and is a member of the organization's senior body, the Jihad Council. He is also the commander of Hezbollah's missile precision project.

According to some reports, in 2016, Shuker replaced Mustafa Badreddine, Hezbollah's military commander, after his death.[1]

On July 30, 2024, Shuker was targeted in an airstrike by the Israeli Air Force in response to his involvement in the rocket attack on Majdal Shams.[2][3]

Biography

Shuker was born in 1962 in the village of Al-Nabi Shayth, in the Baalbek District of Lebanon, which was also the birthplace of Hezbollah co-founder Abbas al-Musawi. He received his military education at Imam Hossein University in Tehran.

Shuker has been active in Hezbollah for 30 years. He participated in the planning and execution of the bombings at the multinational force bases in Beirut on October 23, 1983, which resulted in the deaths of 241 U.S. soldiers. As a result, Shuker became close to Imad Mughniyeh.[4]

On October 10, 2017, Shuker was placed on the wanted list when the Rewards for Justice Program of the Diplomatic Security Service (DSS) at the U.S. Department of State offered rewards of up to $5 million for crucial information on him, along with a $7 million reward for his fellow member Talal Hamiyah.[5]

On August 29, 2019, the IDF revealed information about the missile precision project and Shuker's involvement as the project's commander.[6]
