The Rhinestone Diplomats

The Rhinestone Diplomats are an original Minnesota Roots/Americana/Rock quintet featuring Aaron Cabbage, Gene Hollister and Steve Wold on the vocals, guitars, mandolin & whatever else may fall in their lap, while the tasty low end is a blend of vibrations and rhythms created jointly by bassist Dave Wickiser and drummer Randy Olejnicak. The RD’s have grown from humble beginnings as an acoustic duo playing Minneapolis coffee shops, to performing at some of Minnesota’s legendary rock clubs including First Avenue, The Cabooze & The Fine Line Music Cafe. Their debut CD/EP entitled "Skeleton Hill” is an excellent six song introduction to this local band featuring an acoustic/electric blend. Benjamin Karney (Psychologist)

Benjamin Karney was born in 1968, in Los Angeles, and is the son of German and Israeli immigrants. Karney attended Mirman School for the Gifted and then Harvard High School (a private boys school, at the time) in Los Angeles. Karney was a member of the Cum Laude Honors Society, and became the co-editor of the school newspaper, the Harvard News. He was also involved in musical theater productions in collaboration with a private girls school (Westlake High) which later influenced his interest in close relationships. Benjamin Karney attended Harvard University in Boston, MA and graduated Magna Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa, with a degree in psychology. His most influential teacher at Harvard was Roger Brown, PhD (1925-1997). Their correspondence can be found in the Papers of Roger W. Brown, 1954-1997. Brown inspired Karney to apply to the University of California, Los Angeles department of social psychology Ph.D. program. Karney received the American Psychological Association's (APA) dissertation award for his work on how marriages changes: theoretical, methodological, and empirical considerations. Karney achieved his Ph.D. in June of 1997, and became an assistant professor at the University of Florida. Benjamin Karney has received grant support from the National Science Foundation, National Institute of Mental Health, United States Administration for Children and Families, United States Department of Defense, and the Fetzer Institute.

Karney has been honored by the professional community and received several awards, including the New Scholar Award from the International Network on Personal Relationships and, in 1996 and 1998, the Reuben Hill Research and Theory Award from the National Council on Family Relations. During his tenure at the University of Florida (UF), he was honored with the Gerald R. Miller Award for Early Career Achievement by the International Association for Relationship Research and the Early Career Award by the Relationship Researchers Interest Group of the Society for Personality and Social Psychology. Benjamin Karney was also recognized by the University of Florida's Department of Psychology as a distinguished teacher on seven occasions.

Tashiling Potala FC was founded in late 1970's by the people living in Tashiling Tibetan Refugee Camp in Pokhara,Nepal.Since then,many youngsters have taken keen interest in football.By now,Tashiling Potala FC is very well known and have produced lots of good footballers including some Tibetan National football players too.The motto of Tashiling Potala FC is
