Point Bar

A Point Bar is a geologic and topographic feature formed by the deposition of sediment at the bend of a stream. It's attributes include a near-level grade, well sorted sedimentation, and,if veiwed from above, a dome or semi-circlular shape. During floods debris (such as fallen trees or other materials) often collect on point bars as the water recedes. They commonly occur in mature or meandering streams as the lowest point of energy. Located on the inside of a stream bend, sediment carried by the river (known as supended load) and most commonly comprised of silt or sand-sized grains, drops out of the water as velocity decreases. A point bar is formed by deposits while a cut bank is formed by erosion.

In times of low stream volume point bars are popular among campers and fishermen. The possibility of flash floods due to up-stream dams should be considered in areas subject to their occurance. --Doomlad13 18:35, 17 July 2007 (UTC) --Milaena 22:32, 17 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

William Hall III (b.1962, Boston MA) is an American documentary producer and writer

William Hall graduated from the University of Virginia with a BA in English. He had started writing early, but it was at UVA that he really learned his craft, studying under Pulitzer Prize winning poet Charles Wright. He became a regular contributor to a number of small press publications (Lucky Star, Minotaur, Egad!, Naked Man, Inkling, Gryphon, Hibiscus, Kindred Spirit).

But poetry don’t pay the rent, and when he moved to New York City in the late 80s he started working in the television postproduction industry. He redefined and revolutionized the assistant editor job as he became an in-session graphics designer. First with National Video, then MTI and finally at Creative Group, he worked on short and long form pieces for A&E, The History Channel, ESPN, the Food Network, NBC, CBS, Time Warner, MTV, and VH1 and much of his work has won awards including an Emmy, a CableACE, a Monitor, a Cine Golden Eagle, an NEMH Crystal Apple and Teles and Auroras and Omnis.

In 2000 William moved from the post production of Creative Group to its production arm, Moe Greene where he supports Fangoria, Fangoia Multimedia and Moe Greene Entertainment as a Producer, Editor and Graphic Designer. Working at Moe Greene has allowed him to expand his skills and experience exponentially and afforded him the opportunity to produce and direct several full length documentaries including William P. Gottlieb: Riffs, Brinke Stevens: Scream Queen, and Fred Olen Ray: Making Movies. He created most of the Fangoria media and graphics shown on Fangoria.tv and also was the point man for Fangoria conventions. And now his partnership with director and editor Jonathan Budine has led him back to the fiction and the writing he has always loved.

In the fall of 2006, William wrote and co-produced an original short film “Take Out” (which was an official selection to the Philadelphia Film Festival, Hoboken International Film Festival, the Fantasia Festival and the 2007 Dragon*Con short film festival), and, as of July 2007, is in post-production on his next short film directed and co-produced by Jon Budine and starring Seamus Davey-Fitzpatrick, the star of the 2006 remake of The Omen.

Keitoloog

One who has the knowledge and wisdom to understand Keit and the power to make her laugh even by getting "don't do" messages. Keitoloogs are certified and educated by Keit only, that's why the need for those specialists (since there are very few of them) is still high.

Keitoloogs suffer from the extraordinary, beautiful, dream-state-a-like after-effects of the privileges of touching her beautiful lips. And every evening (or morning after a heavy party) they would like to whisper "sweet dreams" to her ear. Keitoloogs due to the secrecy of their position are allowed to reveal only 0,001 % of their characteristics publicly, that's why a period is required now.

Evil Elves 2

Definition: Evil Elves 2 is a platformer game where you play as Santa, collect all the presents on each level, and beat up enemies with snowballs. Then, you get Santa to the sleigh at the end of each level.

Story: Santa was in his sleigh when suddenly, a giant snowball splattered Santa on the screen. Once again, the evil elves were stealing presents, taking them to their Evil Elf Terrible Toy Shop! Santa now must retrieve all the presents [More likely almost all the presents].

Items: ammo: Gives Santa more snowball ammo [can have up to 140 snowballs]. Santa face: Gives you an extra part of your health back.

Controls: Left key=left Right key=right Up key=up or fly Down key=duck Spacebar=throw ammo

Parts of Screen: ammo count: How much ammo Santa has. Health Meter: How much health you have.

Levels: Storming the Toy Shop: Santa gets through an artic filled area full of elves and snowmen. The Terrible Toy Shop: Santa gets through mutant toys. The Terrible Toy Shop 2: Same as the last level, it’s just that the Evil Elves added some vehicles. Nut-Crack Attack: Santa gets through a giant nutcracker and some enemies. Oh Tannen Bomb! : Santa get through big Christmas tree ornaments, defeat big, evil, gingerbread men cookies, and avoid big, spinning, Christmas tree stars. Christmas Mourning: A new vehicle is added and so is a new enemy. Also, a snowman guards the end of a chimney.

Notes and notices: Santa has no lives. Even though there’s time, there’s no timer! There should have been a boss in the game [since I’m a boss fan]. In the intro, Santa collects the first present. On the first level, there are mean signs in the background. If Santa ducks across from a snowball-throwing elf, the duck is hopeless since Santa is large. If Santa loses all his health, Santa cries like a baby.

Stage Names

Layla Cries the stage name of Debra Hunter who was the lover of and had children with two of the most famous rock stars of our time Carlos Santana and Eric Clapton. She met Santana and Clapton when they came to her Jr High school in 1969 in Butler Co. Mo. after they had ask to meet the child prodigy. The meeting soon turned into the most famous love triangle of our time as both men persued her hand in marriage for many years. Together they archived many hours of some of rock n rolls earliest music videos most of which have never been made public. Mr. Clapton played the leading man as Ms Hunter played his leading lady in a 1984 movie made in Tarrant Co. Texas at a singles club named Players. The romantic comedy was never released. Ms Hunter was also a dancer and danced in several hours of early footage with Clapton and Santana. She also sung duets with Clapton which the most famous song was "Someone Like You" release for a short review in Tarrant Co. Texas. The on screen chemisty between Clapton and Hunter was so dynamic that it rewarded them with many standing ovations. Ms Hunter was a petite brunette who is said to have never missed a dance step. Clapton financed a 1970 album for her named "Dressed In Love" by Layla Cries, a combination of blues and love songs.

Snurge (or snerge?)

A popular insult exchanged between schoolkids in the English midlands in the 1970s and 1980s. Vaguely defined as some kind of unpleasant small sponge-like creature (or slug like creature) believed to inhabit public toilets.

Similar to the much older word Snurd or Snerd, also a schoolkid insult from the 1930s or 1940s defined as a person who goes round sniffing women's bicycle saddles in hot weather.

Snerd (or snurd)

A schoolboy insult from the 1930s or 1940s (told to me by my father), defined as "a man who goes araound smelling ladies' bicycle saddles on hot days in Summer"

The Ascetic Junkies

The Ascetic Junkies are a folk/indie band formed in January, 2007. The band formed when 3 friends, Matt Harmon, Kali Giaritta, and Jesse Wellman, moved into a house in Brighton, MA. Kali and Matt, who also started dating around the same time, had played together previously, and Jesse and Matt had previously been in other bands together (Audio Camouflage, Truth if I Lie).

The Ascetic Junkies were a minimalistic acoustic band at the beginning - Kali on vocals, Matt on vocals and acoustic guitar, and Jesse on banjo. Matt and Kali are both active songwriters, and the Junkies is a vehicle for them to cowrite songs and also to support each others' songs. Typically, one of them writes a song, and then the other one sings harmonies and background vocals.

Soon after the band formed, So Sugiyama moved in with them. Originally from California, So had been studying philosophy at Columbia University in New York, but decided to take a break and study cello with George Neikrug in Boston. Soon after he moved in with the band, he started playing with them, and was almost immediately made an official member.

The Junkies have been consistently playing around the greater Boston area and also played a very well-attended show with Phil Benson at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park, NJ. As of July '07, they have been working toward having enough recorded tracks to press an album.
